Anyone have an idea on this? Yarra Valley pinot MV6 clone, 10 months in french Oak, from Gruyure. I thought maybe Giant Steps, Soumah, Helen & Joey but none match completely. Pinot Noir 2024 - Click Quick Deal #59945 - Red Wine

Alena Pinot Noir 2024
Rating: 95
Gorgeously complex and engaging, the bouquet shows sweet berry, cured meat, bouquet garni, toasted almond, and porcini aromas, followed by a concentrated palate filled with delectable flavours. It's splendidly enhanced by rich texture and finely infused tannins, making it sturdy yet with grace, finishing persistent and savoury. At its best: 2026 to 2036. $55.00. www.helenandjoeyestate.com.au. Feb 2025.

They seem to be based in Gruyere.

Anyone any idea which wine this is?

Shiraz 2023 – Black Market Deal #60069

Weighty, plush and concentrated as all get out, you absolutely can't go wrong with this Barossa shiraz. Although we have to keep the name a secret, we will say this... don't fear this wine (you'll love that pun when it arrives at your door).

It's not a great match, and quite different to how they normally describe that wine. Given it's $19.99 a bottle at the moment and I hadn't used the Take2 code I'm happy to buy 6 bottles for $99.94 to find out :)

The other 95pt Yarra Pinots on the Sam Kim site are a couple of Warramundas (Estate doesn't match), one named Black Label is not on the Warrmunda site, so might be possibility. Also Mandala The Sands which isn't on the Mandala site either.

Offering seductive complexity with fruit purity, the wine shows dark cherry, wild strawberry, thyme, cured meat, warm mushroom, and toasted almond characters on the nose. The concentrated palate exhibits a fleshy texture, supported by refreshing acidity and layers of fine-grained tannins, finishing impressively long and sturdy. At its best: 2026 to 2036. $55.00. www.warramundaestate.com.au. Feb 2025.

It's gorgeously lifted on the nose, showing Black Doris plum, dried cherry, cured meat, warm mushroom, and assorted nut aromas. The silky-smooth palate offers fleshy texture backed by layers of polished tannins. It's harmonious and multi-layered with excellent structure and persistence. At its best: 2026 to 2037. $60.00. www.mandalawines.com.au. April 2025.

Do you mind letting me know on here after it arrives to you, whether it's Yering Lane Single Vineyard? Perhaps it would be useful for ongoing quality control if people give some feedback, especially on the trickier ones. I have less experience on this forum than others, so feel free to correct me if that suggestion is a dud.
