Vinomofo Wine Deals

My VM broker said its nothing to rave on about which is why I have never joined. They said it contains a majority of the cheaper bottles around the $15-$30 mark and may get 1or 2 bottles of the decent $50-$80 wines but not to expect the more expensive wines say the $100+ bottles

also these are the VM stated RRP prices
Thanks for the reply.

ok here is the report re Terremoto:
First glass:
Nose: very restrained, only very little fruit and cigar box, more dark chocolate
Palate: again very restrained barely any fruit, sense of alcohol is very dominant, short finish
After 3hrs decant
Much better!
Nose: much more ripe dark berry, cigar box, but no more dark chcolate
Palate: consistent with the nose, a lot of ripe dark berry, tannin is very soft, medium to full body, only complaint is the present of alcohol is still pretty strong, medium to long finish with a bit of dark chocolate taste at the end
Should I leave it for day 2?
I am happy to pay $50, but not the rrp

Quick report back, day 2 is even smoother on the palate, everything else stays pretty much the same.

To me it tasted like a cask wine. Brought back my uni memories actually!

Nothing wrong with it. Just boring and no character.
I've bought a couple of their Rieslings recently and neither has been as good as the cleanskins I got from them cellar door for under $10 in 2018. Not bad, but not better than the $12 bottles that appear on VM quite often.

I tried it in June. I thought it was more on a medium side of things. Still some fruit left and I think can be aged further for 3-5 years. I enjoyed it, used a very large glass to bring up nuances. However I bought it elsewhere, not from mof_

Edit - I would not buy at RRP. ..... but then I will not buy ANYTHING at RRP except for Rockford Basket Press Shiraz.
what is Rockford Basket Press RRP? I have never seen it 'available' to purchase

About $15 a bottle - if you have a time machine set to 1992. I stopped buying when it reached the outrageous price of $25 around 1996. I think it's approaching $300 now.

Rockford BP has a winery price (currently $90 I think) and a secondary market price which is usually 150%-300% of the winery price, more for the best back vintages.
A six pack of 2020 just cost me $561 delivered and insured. I’d rather not to calculate per bottle price to avoid the hurt
