Opened a bottle tonight. Enjoyable. Got at least 5 years on it, likely longer. Still available at $12.50 (PRE-ARRIVAL: Shiraz 2013 – Black Market Deal #42261). Buy without hesitation is my recommendation.
I agree with the Dr
Opened a bottle and was initially confronted with Coonawarra aromas and tastes with Red fruits early on - Associated these with Coonawarra cab sav and was a little concerned as the better half is less of a Cconawarra CS fan and more a traditional Barossa Shiraz fan.

But with time the dark fruits like cherry and plum came through as listed on the bottle.
Very pleasant wine for my palate.

I'm not much good at them either, but I can give you some broad strokes input after I try it which should be tonight.
Ok, just trying it now. It’s rather tannic for a 9yo wine. Probably would benefit from decanting and definitely a good few years in the cellar/ wine storage where I think the rest of the case will go now. Definitely not as approachable as some of the other Reschkes I’ve had recently, though I think it has good bones. First impression is that it is juicy, but it finishes very dry, though that’s likely in part the tannin’s doing. Decanting the rest of the bottle now, so will see if that softens it at all.

Definitely mellowed out a little after being opened a while. I think this will be a rather nice wine once it has had time to age.

I've got a dilemma, the lovely Charlotte (broker) has emailed me two deals: 2018 Thorn-Clarke Shotfire Quartage $15 by the case or the 2019 Thorn-Clarke Shotfire Shiraz for the same price, both highly awarded and I've had the Quartage before and enjoyed it, any observations before I boom on one of them?

BTW the Shotfire Shiraz is "pre-arrival"

I like the Quartage blend. But is $15 a great price for either of these (currently $23 at Dan Murphy's for the Quarto - less the comonly available 5% discount means you'd pay around $22 and wouldn't be stuck with 12 of the same wine)?

appears to be

Reschke Bull Trader Shiraz 2013

It has the exact same description as the 2012, so assuming it's just a vintage later.
Opened a bottle tonight....it was surprisingly quite nice esp at $9.60 per bottle with the Amex offer below!...and I have 23 bottles left and would have been a lot of cooking wine if undrinkable ;)

Spend $299, get $70 back.

Anyone know this wine? Farmer's Leap Fortune Shiraz 2015

Yes. I really enjoyed the 2013 but returned a 2014 although it was because the bottle I opened was corked and I didn’t want to take another chance. Tempting to give it another go at this price.

@AnzacPaul I've had both the lower tier Farmer's Leap Shiraz and the higher-priced Fortune Shiraz and enjoyed both but oddly found the cheaper one more agreeable to my taste buds, had the 2014 in the Fortune so don't know what the 2015 promises, but I don't think you'll do your dough...
