Pirramimma reds are remarkably consistent in my experience (consistently quaffable) I'd be tempted myself I didn't have an order on the way (again :) )

This is the blah blah from VM:

Our beloved ex-dealer/current wine buyer Tully told us this is "the best Pirramimma wine I have ever tasted"! Huge words from one of the most esteemed palates in the company. Created in celebration of McLaren Vale great, Geoff Johnston, the grapes for this beauty come from the Shiraz block Geoff planted with his father Digby in 1971. Upfront dark plums, blackberries and mocha sits neatly on the palate, before reaching peaks of vanilla and spice (and all things nice). Just like the person it celebrates, this wine is all about character, and will age beautifully over the next 15 years!

Alcohol: 14.5%
Cellaring: Drink now until 2036

My wine broker tells me this is;
Helen & Joey Estate Gruyere Hill Yarra Valley Pinot Noir 2020 - Very good at $14
Hmmm…Vivino has it at 4.2, Sam Kim gives it 89 points….something NQR there

He seems to be a very generous rater (5.0 on average) and an avid lover of VM offerings by looking at the wines that he rated!
John Clark......

who's next ? Brian Doyle.

Just about 3 months into the 6 month embargo and doing fine. Nice to read back on this forum. I like to look. The best thing I have read here after perusing the last twenty or so pages was the $60 off the Lakebreeze 3 pack. That was a beauty and the 2019 cabernet is a lovely wine even now so young. I bought some direct last year. The Folletts are great wine people.

Good to see you gracing these fine forums again BF, sounds like you have an affinity with Peter Sellers too! I was one of those who grabbed a three-pack of the Lake Breeze Bernoota as it is such a lovely wine (opened one last night as a matter of fact). The Follets must be on par with the Waughs of Greenock Creek fame :)

Enjoying this very much right now. Certainly don't think it's one for the Coonawarra c/s purists. It's an unsubtle big sweet cherry bomb with some nice tannin. Impressive how much sweet fruit is left there given the age. Very good value for me given I had $60 in credit plus 10% CB. I think that made it close to $12 a bottle delivered.
“an unsubtle big sweet cherry bomb”

Whilst I try to remain open minded this description doesn’t fill me with complete confidence.

I'm impressed with how well you've matched your nail polish to that polka dot top 👍
