Vinomofo Wine Deals

After seeing a few people buying this and having recommended this to my friends and family - I really hope that my assumption re the identity of the wine is correct and more importantly the wine is good!

Some points of interest - Myself and my friends also purchased Reschke Empyrean 2010, Cabernet Sauvignon | reschke from VM about a month ago. I haven't tried it but my cabsav loving friend who tried it this weekend said it was just amazing - a bit on heavier side though. And it was $50 from VM. He thinks it is too early to drink it.

The winemaker is Peter Douglas who used to be a winemaker for Wynns up until 1999. Apparently his winemaking style is more on heavier side of things and generally they don't release wines until it has some age on them. From what I understand most of their wines were destined for export - personally I never came across them in the past until now.

FWIW - I have also checked the community reviews on the DM website https://www.danmurphys.com.au/product/DM_907801/reschke-bos-cabernet-sauvignon?
that sounded positive.

So fingers crossed!
I just looked up the 2006 Reschke Bos, and it’s listed as 15% alcohol on Vintage Cellars website, vs 14% on vinomofo.

Hopefully just a mis-match, otherwise we may be getting a different/random cab sav!
Nice to have the safety net of the returns policy just in case 😊

You trust Vintage Cellars??? Or DM or any of the Chains sites? They are notorious for incorrect info in listings. VM are amateurs in comparison in making those sort of mistakes.

The Halliday TN notes 14% for the Bos 2006.

The Grounded Cru wasn't what I was expecting - just trying to find some reviews and may then open a bottle ....

Region: McLaren Vale

Year: 2017

Nose has great concentration of cherries, spices and herbs. Very good weight and length to the palate that’s loaded with dark fruit flavours and well-handled oak.

After a well-priced sparkling at a great deal, anyone seen or know of such a deal?
Sparkling red, white or Champagne?

Sparkling red, white or Champagne?
White, Tas or Yarra Valley in particular.

Do tell, on which one or both and if so - why please?

Shiraz 2017 – Black Market Deal #37648 VM states $50 from the producer yet
it states $28 from the producer here Cru McLaren Vale Shiraz

Am I missing something?
I paid $21.50 / bottle before my newbie discount. Quick search shows the same wine at $16.50 elsewhere, but the label is different. Same style, but mine is a gold label with McLaren Vale as part of the design, whereas other sites seem to have a red label and South Australia rather than McLaren Vale. Will have to do a bit more digging tonight - maybe an export version?

Redbigot has already posted the answer above - several wines with very similar names. His link is to the wine that I purchased.

I can also confirm by purchase that 37683 - 2019 Sauvignon Blanc is the Saint and Scholar.
With the discount it was well under $10 a bottle, and I had planned to cook with it. It is the first bottle I have opened from my Vinomofo order (and the only white), and on a warm and muggy QLD evening it is a gem. Very pale in colour, with a citrus overtone it would certainly hold its own with bottles twice the price. Just need to find space for it on the racks now ......
