Vinomofo Wine Deals

So disappointed. First of all the cork fell to pieces so I had to end up straining the bottle. And then it had no resemblance of the 2013 vintage I bought last year. It didn’t have the depth or richness - it seemed unexpectedly acidic. I’ve never sent anything back to VM - have bought over 100 bottles. I’ve thrown away the box already. Could I still return the 5 closed bottles? Thanks in advance for any advice!
Hi, so sorry to hear that and yes as was said above, you can return them without the original box, just use any box and it should be sweet.
Its pretty weird it doesn't even appear on the winery website and not a single review for 2014 on Vivino or anywhere else.
Its like it is the VM exclusive release.

Now I feel compelled to open my Haselgrove The Lear Shiraz 2019 to check for quality that I will do on Sunday and report back.

Something unique for many here but any thoughts on what this could be?

Had a bottle of this last night - surprisingly good with spicy Asian food, but suspect this is a one off experiment by the winery. Have a search for Wicked Pet...

Received an email from VM alluding to this deal
After doing some searching I think that it maybe 2017 vintage of Heathcote Lorenzo Shiraz ? Especially seeing some on Gray auctions
But I still can't connect the dots.

Any thoughts?

Think it's the Carlei Green Vineyards Cuvée Stephen Thomson Shiraz. Previously offered as deal #35148.

Thanks for the recommendation on the Frank Ernest Shiraz. Great value especially with a nice steak with peppercorn sauce.

Thank you for confirming - that is a dilemma!
Opened a bottle of Haselgrove “The Lear” Shiraz 2019 I got from VM earlier this week. Originally I was planning to put it away for a few years as it is too young, but thought I better try it in case I need to return the pack.

it is a massive fruit driven wine. I let it breathe for a bit and it was changing with every sip as the time went by. It is just a baby but a very big boy that would definitely improve with age. But it was extremely enjoyable to drink now. Massive tannins almost to the point of bitterness precipitated and the wine became more balanced with time. All the traits of a classic big boutique McLaren shiraz and I must reluctantly admit it is probably just a tiny notch above the excellent Frank Earnest Shiraz but it is debatable. Definitely keeping it!

#37243 is the Cosmo Wines Victorian Shiraz 2018. But I'm having trouble finding any info at all about this wine, it's not even on their website. I'm worried it will consist of a blend of the YV shiraz that wasn't good enough to go in their YV shiraz and the Heathcote shiraz that wasn't good enough to go in their Heathcote shiraz. But it's still cheap enough I may give it a go...... Has anyone tried it?
