VM's Secret Deal Barbera https://www.vinomofo.com/wines/red-wine/mof_-secret-deal-barbera-2015-26289? is Chain of Ponds 2015 Stopover Single Vineyard Adelaide Hills Barbera, I double-checked with Halliday but didn't really need to as the tab I've got up on Safari clearly says "Chain of Ponds" rather than mof_ Secret Deal, jeez they really are slipping up these days :shock:

It makes you wonder Chonka, whether VM are deliberately letting the cat out of the bag to alert customers to the wine's provenance to boost sales (says the cynic in me!)

An interesting aside to the wine forum. I have noticed that my Australian wines go much faster in Berlin then they do in Australia. I cannot stuff enough of them in my suite case on the way back. They become great presents and thank you's everybody loves the the fact they made in Australia ----- wines ( on the whole rarer in Berlin where Ozzie wines are harder to find).

Curtis Cavaliere, it's been offered a few times and regularly $20 from WineDirect. No way it's worth $70, reasonable effort at $20, but I didn't buy more after trying a bottle.
Cork = Diam for this.

I got a couple of bottles in a Wine direct mixed dozen and was completely underwhelmed, the wine had been hyped up so substantially (not to mention the purported RRP) that I was expecting the duck's guts, and like you, won't be seeking it out again...

If you bought back the good German Pinots and Rieslings they are notorious for keeping to themselves you would find your Aussie mates would probably get stuck into those just as quickly!
