yeah 2015 Allegiance Wines The Artisan Barossa Valley Shiraz, anyone know what its like? I've never tried Allegiance Wines

It hasn't had much support from my subscribers. I tried it after the National Wine Show, definitely not "rich, full-bodied", my brief note" light/medium weight, nice enough fruit, but undistinguished, no medal."

I bought a case last year and best described as bland and duly sent back. one of its medals was for artwork on label. I see some fellow AFF members who bought the alumni aged riesling thought it was ok. Cheers Rug

I agree with redbigot and rug. It is not a very exciting wine. It is quite fruity, but without any real power or finesse, and the mid-palate complexity was almost non-existent. It is drinkable, but certainly not worth the asking price.

Te shirvington 2013 Shiraz is still available,
has anyone tried it?, or have an opinion about shirvington as a producer?

I've had the '03, '04, '05, '06 and '09 Shiraz over the past 18-24 months. It's your big SA Shiraz, done well. I am a fan (as is Robert Parker). I bought the 2013 - at $15/bottle you can't really go wrong if you like big Shiraz. Only question will be whether it's drinkable now.

Heard that Shirvington is going out of business, so might be a few more bargains available. Does explain the various back vintages that came onto the market recently.

Has as anyone tried the Shirvington Redwind Shiraz?

Patrick Estate Riesling been up lately?

Also has the 2015 BM Shiraz Cabernet from Clare Valley been revealed? Cant seem to find it. https://www.vinomofo.com/wines/red-wine/black-market-deal-shiraz-cabernet-2015-24941

1 and 2 pages up thread is info on the Shiraz and Shiraz Cab - seems like the other varieties are of quality

The Kilikanoon Golden Hillside Shiraz is a nice, medium body wine. Nothing super special though.

We got a case (now finished), and can confirm the same from our tasting. Decent & drinkable, not interesting. One of those 'For Vinomofo' labels I believe.

I ended up sending mine back. Life's too short to be drinking unremarkable wine.

Hoping for some Mad Hatter, iii Associates or Known Pleasures offers

Thanks RB, that was the one I was referring.
I got some also, but yet to be received. Was wondering if anyone had tried previous vintages?

Dark side of the moon by Claymore is also available via broker, has anyone tried previously??

So you expect remarkable wine for $13? I had my first bottle the other night and found it quite decent indeed (decanted for 3+ hrs), and definitely worth the measly $13.

Yeah I think so. It wasn't amazing or awful, but whether it's $13 or $45, I want to enjoy it and I just didn't love this one. I also only get to open a couple bottles a week..
