Am interested in the popular consensus - have an unopened 6er hidden from the better halves view - was planning to stash it for a bit - memories of it last year where positive and Mr Head is an rightly acclaimed winemaker (& nice guy)

I find Shiraz Mataro I slightly polarising blend amongst my peers, myself I find it immensely enjoyable, the Adelina being a superb example...

On another note, cracked another bottle of Warramate White Label 14 Shiraz tonight - was a little dissapointed when first delivered compared to the 13, it seems to be developing nicely now tho...

I also opened a second bottle of the 2014 Warramate Shiraz earlier in the week. I agree, the wine is now starting to open up a little more, however it still needed a good 3 hours to really start to show its true colours. Quite nice actually.

Some mixed reviews out there and suggestions it's a relabeled version of their Leone Shiraz

I'm fairly sure it's different to the Leone, different wine as well as a different bottle shape.
I liked the 2014 a lot more than the 2013.

LOL, no I'm not mad ... well maybe a little. Realised the post in the Nice Wines thread was for the 2012 Shiraz and not the 2014 Shiraz Mataro so I deleted it as I didn't want to mislead anyone.

Just spoke to someone at VM and was told that they can't split orders over multiple cards. So those who have done it, and those who even managed to put $60 lots into credit for use in a bigger order were lucky! Or if someone knows a particular broker who will allow this then please let me know!

Their loss for my order!

Did they even let you give credit to someone else via your card?
I think its because they caught on. I got an email from them advertising the AMEX promotion...
If they are not putting anything out for it...really silly of them to disallow it as it stops many potential customers (like yourself).

I didn't ask about giving credit to someone else as I didn't know I can do this. When I asked if I can split over multiple cards, she initially said the system won't allow it, then when I said others have put credit into their account she said Amex won't allow it. Not sure their answer will be any different if I'm giving credit to others.

I will thus shop at companies that allow split payments. Did that suscessfully at quite a few companies.

I've had a few stores tell me AMEX won't allow it - could be true. The aim of the promo is for people to spend more, splitting things to spend exactly $60 to get $30 back is against the spirit of the promo - But I do try and do it every chance I get ...it's like a 50% discount!

For some reason CT is only showing the major grape in the title. CT88 from me. It is an assault on the senses when opened - big, ripe fruit, and lots of savoury spice.

Edit: you can always find a review by just looking at the tasting notes under the user Anonymous Coward on either site.
