Vinomofo Wine Deals

Pretty sure that https://vinomofo.com/wines/red-wine/black-market-deal-cabernet-sauvignon-2014-250116 is Bit O’Heaven Think Outside the Circle 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon.

See link: Bit O’Heaven Think Outside the Circle 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon « Jugiong Wine Cellar

Anyone know anything about this (apart from all the bling).

Did you end up getting it? Seems too good to be true but if it has potential I'll stick it in the cellar and forget about it for a few years...

Bit O'Heaven Wines Think Outside the Circle Hilltops Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

Vibrant red colour but already lost any purple hues. On first opening very berry nose but opens out in the glass to display green olive and pepper aromas. Initially very tight on the pallet, with rich berry fruit and drying tannins. A long finish.

This is first taste and will report back again once it has had some air.

Anyone received and tried their Bit O'Heaven Think Outside the Circle? Still debating whether to pull the trigger on it...

Hey all, the Bit O Heaven is OK. Its a competent bottle of wine with some interest. The cool climate aspect has the jury out for me a bit. The acidity was a little higher than id like generally and came more and more to the fore with time open. The next day it had waned somewhat and came off relatively poorly against a bottle of Jeanneret Westward which had been open for over 48 hours at that point.

Overall, hard to argue at $9 a bottle, but either not right to my taste or possibly just not that super dooper a wine. I am unsure, as I said the jury is out. Might have another go next week at some stage.

Don't think I have seen this one before. Has anyone worked out what it is? Apologies if I have missed it......

Yes, the potts is a little bit closed at the moment from sampling last November. Having 5 varietals in it makes you wonder a bit, but it has pedigree. I will get another out in about 3 years.

I think it's the Paxton Jones Block. Price is a bit off compared to older vintages, although the price increases anyway.
Are you sure? I was thinking it was the Innocent Bystander The Mule which I would pass on but I would jump on the Jones Block

The mule MAY have viognier added to it..previous vintages have but no mention here on VM shpeel.

Also 'trust me' from VM acknowledges a 'challenging " vintage from McLaren vale in 2015. Twas dry, then dry, then wet. However we know great makers make great stuff in tough times.

Wozza is a Paxton fan, maybe their biggest.

from last march...

You (or your inlaws) is in luck. I think the current offer $12.60 from $42 is the Mule 2014 Shiraz.

Interestingly the 2010 was supposed to spend 16 months in oak. Obviously this 2015 , if it is the mule, cannot have done the same.

The initial email spiel said from "one of hte Yarra's most iconic producers" but linked through to the website stating from "an iconic 5 red star producer". IB looking likely.

I don't think Innocent Bystander is Biodynamic? But can't find much info on it either way.... Hmmm...

WineCompanion notes: "The McLaren Vale Gateway Vineyard is in the final stages of biodynamic conversion;" (this was for the 2010 release). That said, price was $30, so $42 is a bit of a hike...
