Sorry Mr/Ms 197 posts, if you can bother reading back my original post, you will see that I started by apologizing and explaining that I looked around (I did read the last few pages of this thread) but didn't find any mention of the 2010 Margaret River Cab Sav.

I think Steady gave you the date/time when it was discussed. The date/time of the posts are at the top left of every post.

Someone asked exactly the same question you did, yesterday - which I think is why some of the regulars get a bit miffed. There are 5000 posts in this thread already, and it's getting to the point where one post in every page is someone asking "what is x?", when that x can be discovered with a bit of effort on the poster's part.

Someone just bought 10 cases of https://vinomofo.com/wines/sparkling/gapsted-prosecco-nv-05cb2e6a

Anyone tried it before?
gapstead is a very good winery.
I originally ordered this with blackcat20 two weeks back.
they sent us gapstead pinot grigio. I kept my grigios and I really like the style.
I would say the prosecco, at dans for about $19, should be a great alternative to a ten bucker cheaper aussie fizz ! Buy some.
as far as myself, I have bought about 5 others cases in the interim.......can't have it all I guess !

you have to say now that saying nothing may have been more diplomatic.........this forum is good for creativity and new members are always welcome

Great post. Not come across this site before. They have some good offers. Thanks for the great tips. Much appreciated.

no worries - sorry you missed it in the [post=1296509]other[/post] [post=1290604]thread[/post]

Hey wozza, as I was going back to discern the cryptic clue about the w.a red, clues given something about four and nine by I can't remember, I found this.
In particular Hoddles creek pinot.
Now, over the years I have had a few of these and they are good. However, this is a segue into the pinot here being sold under a own label from a retailer in kew.
Whether this is apocryphal or not, I dunno. But it could be factual.
Piedemontes sells many white labelled wines.
Piedemontes may be owned in part by the Italian guy who owns Hoddles creek winery. Ah hum.
So they have sold some Yarra valley pinot before for about ten dollars. One or two years of this has been stunning so is it possible that the twenty bucker with a proprietary label is the same stuff Piedemontes sells for ten to twelve??
Who really knows, but it's a good story and once or twice the pinot has been extremely good.

the family that owns hoddles creek also owns the newly redeveloped boccaccio supa iga in balwyn which is one of the best wine shops (quality/range/price) in melbourne if not australia with perhaps the best free weekend tastings - redbigot does/did a bit of shopping there (didn't but perhaps should've joined/paid when he started charging) :)

their long time bargain has been Diamond Valley

btw how's the [post=1305759]nz hawksburn pinot[/post]?

Just a suggestion, when posting/replying you can change the Title of the post (you may have to click the "Go Advanced" button).
If you do this and put in the name of the particular deal it might make things easier to find.
I've changed the title on this post as an example.

speaking of whom... good idea! :)

I completely agree with you blackcat20, I bought a case and find it light and very easy to drink, even on a cold evening. It'll be fantastic on a summers night, but I doubt I'll have any left by them. I would totally recommend this drop to anyone

I thought the glen lofty 2012 Cabernet was average. Needs decanting and is quite strong on the tannins. The last case I ordered was the Capel vale regional red - cab sav or shiraz, can't remember which, and it was far superior. The glen lofty is drinkable, but a bit cheap tasting and I am regretting I have a case to get through

I think the word "drinkable" is salient. For the price of $7.80, I wasn't expecting anything more. And it certainly delivers far more than anything I've ever bought at a shop for that price. But I agree, it's merely drinkable.

Have you considered returning them?

Life's too short ...

Sure, I'll list all 40 for you! ;-)
Hook line and sinker...........why oh why did you bite? And everyone else as well....yeh I know really why.....lets change the topic, back to you wozza......yes I stuffed up.....i meant to write bocaccios.....and the surname is very italian, but his pinots are good....friday night I try the NZ pinot so will report....just received my churchview zinfandel making it four variants from the same crowd.....i know Glenlofty had 4, any out there that had 5 from the same

Jadranska the info was posted at the time Steady mentioned in this very thread, so armed with that info it really should not have been that hard to find. If you had another look & still couldn't find it just say so, we all sometimes go doh! how'd I not see that!

And the URL was exactly the same! Sorry Jadranska but you had plenty enough to go on without us needing to feed it to you. We ARE a friendly bunch, just learn some basics and you'll be fine.

See today's post by "i like wine it is good" to see why we are sometimes not as openly helpful as we'd like to be! (if it was serious... hats off if it was intentional baiting)

Thank you jeza. I saw it after, it is a bit messy here with all the discussions jumping from one wine to an other.

Anyway, thanks for your answer. That should be a good drop, I had the Chardonnay and Shiraz from the same label not long ago and I have a good memory of it.

Cheers,

I am glad you decided to stick around Jadranska - a belated 'Welcome aboard'

Just on the last bottle of Glenlofty SV 2012. Sigh....A wonderful wine for the price.
Just ordered the McLaren Vale Shiraz/Cabernet - is this the Fox and Hounds? I hope so, but will find out shortly.

I was also wondering if anyone has tried the Adelaide Hills sparkling, and if it's the Chain of Ponds Diva?
