My 4c worth, it is probably a wine that was never meant to see daylight in Oz. If it was good enough at the right price why would you ship it o'seas?
So the second tranche of nightfall took place this evening.
Last half of the bottle settled a bit and now more like an everyday decent cab merlot. perhaps closer to the purchase $ value.
I have been quaffing seemingly endless bottles of '15 Caillard Mataro, a wine that really rings my bells for peanut $$'s.. but I am a bit sick of it..
For the $ the nightfall is ok, very flash bottle presentation and useful wine to take places…tempted to buy another 6… ymmv...
