Vinomofo Wine Deals

after you guys comment, I am a bit worry, I just buy a case this morning. Should I cancel it?

Edit:
Yes, I will cancel it next Monday. Why do they use an HK movie star photo as a customer photo? _Louis.jpeg

My 4c worth, it is probably a wine that was never meant to see daylight in Oz. If it was good enough at the right price why would you ship it o'seas?
My read is a $68btl for o'seas market = (at best) $19.90btl in the Oz market. My money is going elsewhere.

So the second tranche of nightfall took place this evening.
Last half of the bottle settled a bit and now more like an everyday decent cab merlot. perhaps closer to the purchase $ value.
I have been quaffing seemingly endless bottles of '15 Caillard Mataro, a wine that really rings my bells for peanut $$'s.. but I am a bit sick of it.. 🥱
For the $ the nightfall is ok, very flash bottle presentation and useful wine to take places…tempted to buy another 6… ymmv...

Tgh...this one sounded like a bit of a struggle so why would you consider another six pack?
The reason I say that is I have finished my sampling of it and am satisfied as I prepare tonight's dinner, but I have also got an 18 Warramunda Cabernets decanting which certainly makes for an interesting side by side comparison. I will post my thoughts in the Nice Wines Section. It will make for a good read about how some of us see wine changing after we lift the lid. I will now go on a wine buying embargo until next year as I have two more fo shirazes coming. Enjoy your beverage.

Has anyone been able to identify these two?

Trofeo Estate Chardonnay and Sunshine Creek Chardonnay

Andy Graham gives the Yarra valleys sunshine Creek chardy a 93. He is a great critic and a tough marker, and I have found his reviews very honest. I am not buying, but wouldve been I think I'd this was $17.50 a bottle. He has recently fallen in love with another valley producer Tokar Estate. I had bought a couple of their 6 pack $99 boxes with free delivery....damn good....and the pinot shiraz blend is beautiful. Not a dud in that pack but the rose is a bit thin. But at the price, the other 5make up for it. A good complex Chardonnay I believe is right up there in my top flavour profile. I love the body and if you get length and minerality, then it's the bees knees. That Dappled appelation chardy 19 I think is sublime. Was under the house Thursday and noticed I have 2 left. The embargo is being tested sadly seven days in but I was tough. I was also a tight cough.
