Spectacular pricing.

Hey Katy,

I've had Better Half wines before, the chardonnay (bought for the mother in law) and the pinot noir (arrived in a mixed case). Both were very disappointing so I'd be giving it a miss. With regards to sparkling, I've had the Nua proseco (around $12/bottle and they often have it even when it's not advertised, just ask a broker) or the Bisou Bisou ($15/bottle a VM collaboration which they always have available). Although I'm not normally a sparkling drinker, both have been well received.

Thanks so much to both of you! Rich I had bought some of the Better Half chardonnay but I don't drink it and my taster hadn't gotten around to it yet so feedback on that one is very welcome as well. I had a funny feeling about it due to the lack of reviews and had already purchased a backup chardonnay when the Fox Gordon Empress came up - feeling very pleased that I did!

mathiex THANK YOU! That's pretty perfect for what I'm looking for. I was already a DM member but for some reason they email me about rubbish whites (that I do not drink) and never sparkling (which I do)!

VM sometimes have the Gapsted Prosecco which is also pretty good (especially at $10).

Agreed on the Better Half Pinot Noir...that got a solid 0.5 from me on Vivino.

The Nua is good value, my wife loves it and she doesn't drink much at all. It's been very well received by older family and younger friends.

I'd say value for money as that's what I'm looking for on VM? Say upto price range of $20 a bottle in terms of what we actually pay, not RRP

Two of my favourites (not sure if below $20, and not sure in past year) would be Bleasdale 2012 Generations Shiraz and Seabrook 2009 Merchant Shiraz

In theory, today's Barossan shiraz should be a very impressive drop. No idea what it is but if the rrp is 60 clams, I would think it would give the hares chase a run down the burly barren burrows of the Barossa. You would possibly think that based on retail pricing but since I am not going fishing here, I don't want to open a new can of worms about the linearity between quality and price. What I would be keen on is knowing what this one might be.

Is Hannah on the Swing again by any chance?

Hi guys, can you please elaborate on the above, I'm not picking up the F&H reference?

Anyone tried this wine before too?

What is the opinion of the F&G Hannah's Swing? Worth the purchase?

I haven't tasted it, but have heard good things about it. I bought it purely based on the brilliance of the Brothers and Sisters Cab Sav, which was a stunner in my humble opinion. At twice the price I have great expectations for Hannah's Swing. If it's only half as good as the Brothers and Sisters it should still be a great wine.
