Vinomofo Wine Deals

You've stated that you have "no confidence in VM". You really should go see a technician to get your record player fixed.

Edit: fixed quote.

No confidence and disdain are not the same.

Rather than continue to attempt to admonish me, you may be better served by blocking me as well. But I wont be bullied into submission by you.

You're starting to sound like redbigot. ;)

Firstly, thank you for the compliment as I wish I had his knowledge of wine, experiences with wine, and income from wine. I don't subscribe to him either. Secondly, I viewed the VM site about ten past eleven, saw the salvation case was the first of the three slides, then hit 'all deals'. At this point, I still don't know what it is, or whether it is still for sale. I did my very quick due diligence and I could not think of anything else. The Glenlofty website is mediocre at best, But I would prefer them to concentrate on making good shiraz and improving their cabernet and their woeful chardonnay THAN spending too much money on website adornment. In vino Veritas, and I hope its the 3rd ever release. If it is, a tasting will inevitably follow. P.s. Katy, stick to those wines that Wozza recommends. In the voice of a cartoon character, he ain't no wed wabbit, he ain't no wed bigot, he a wealy wise wozza

Where did I claim that they were the same? Reread my post - I just quoted your previous statement.

Or maybe you could take a hint that continually re-iterating the same point, ad naseum, is beginning to tax the patience of people here who'd rather just stick to working out what the deals are.

As a compromise, could I suggest that we have one thread where complaints (and general chit-chat) about VM could be posted, and another one where the topic is just identification/feedback on the mystery deals.

New VIM offer:

Nick O'leary Bolaro Canberra District Shiraz 2013 $49

I've had a previous vintage. I'd pay $30 for it. $49 is a bit much. 97 pts from Halliday though.

Just tracked my order with NexDay, my case of Penley Estate Reserve will be delivered tomorrow, when Sydney will be the hottest day of this year yet, 41 degrees Celsius!

TOO BAD as the Penley's closure is cork!

Mine too... thankfully cooler in Melbourne.

Hence my "now you see it, now you dont" comment.

And I'm resonding to Dr Ralph's comment ("usual VM deception") and your subsequent comment ("Or they've just updated it with the correct info.") to say that none of the info's actually been changed. They removed the icons down the bottom, but they're still at the top, and they still call it a Halliday "special value" wine. No information's been corrected as far as I can see.

Yes, I have 4 half-cases in transit at the moment. My Penley says it should arrive tomorrow, but it shows as still in Adelaide - maybe that's a good thing. I am worried about my Lindemans Pyrus and St George though (bought through WineMarket). Hopefully they don't get too cooked. I wish they had shipped them last week when I ordered them.

Thankfully the Pyrus was delivered today. The NexDay delivery droid left the wine sitting outside in 37 degree temps. Thankfully I don't think it had been there too long. The bottle temperature still feels around the 25 degree mark. Don't know where the St George is. Maybe they shipped separately. I think I'll have to stop buying now until the cooler months roll around.
