Well, sifting through the chaff its all pretty clear to me:
Domestically depending upon route and aircraft type, sometimes a WP is lucky to get an extra hi in whY! Often it is because there are so many on board, the travel time isnt that long and the CSM is a busy person and usually focused on the J cabin.
I think its fair to say that domestically as a WP all the benefits are prior to taking off, Seat selection, lounge, luggage allowance etc. The class of service is the class of service expected and used.
If you get anything more than that, then that is a bonus!
Internationally, this is where things get a bit murky, often the CSM has time allocated for the meet and greet of WP and above and depending upon load usually gets around to doing it, They often ask "if there is anything i can do for you" which is usually something simple, headphones, blanket a lil glass of bubbles etc. If it is anything more than that then that is pushing the boundaries.
WP isn't some magical mystery panacea to making whY travel amazing! It is still whY!
So being a WP in whY does not automatically = getting stuff thats not warranted, its about a little thank you for being a loyal customer who spends significant $ or time on a plane.
Now the whole toilet thing:
Irrespective of if the person is a WP or not people often go to the wrong toilets, there is those who have a sense of entitlement, those who have no idea, and then those who have drunk to much, other lavs are blocked etc. Realistically everyone no matter who they are should use the correct toilets in their class, but at the end of the day whoopty doo. Chances are if you are in F or J and its the lower class that is using your precious loo availability, you are more than making up for it with a better seat and travel experience. 1 or 2 minutes out of your flight time is a miniscule percentile, heaven forbid its even good for you to stretch your legs.
