I have never seen anything done anywhere on April 1 that is funny in any way whatsoever.

All it is, is a day of pure useless stupidity where people are even less trustworthy then normal (if that is even possible).

I agree this is fairly sad as April Fools day jokes go. They can be funny and entertaining. They all involve deceit in a way but they don't have to involve disappointment. Examples of good April Fools Day jokes include the Spaghetti Tree Hoax. The fact that it comes from 1957 makes plain how hard and rare good AFD jokes are to do. AFF - start thinking now for 2020 if you want to get it right.
