Hi
I have read quite a bit of info on this subject but am still unclear how to transfer my QFF points to AA. Can some one give me some clarification.
Thanks

I am fairly sure you can't transfer your QFF points into AA points.

What are you looking to do?

That's correct, but you can book AA flights with QFF points. Just search for the relevant award flights online, and it should offer AA flights

I have been using QFF to date but have seen better value in AA so now want to go through that route. I was reading one of the sections on the last info sheet on credit cards rewards and there was a mention there on Legitimate points laundering (pg 35) and from what I gathered there was a way we can transfer points to SPG then on to AA. Actually now I look at it again, maybe it can only be done direct from AMEX.
Either way I would love to get some tips on the best way to accrue points with AA through cards in Oz.
Im pretty new to this but keen to learn
Thanks

The only way to transfer QFF points to AA is to buy toasters at the QFF store, sell them on ebay and then use the money to buy AA points.

You can't transfer existing Qantas points into American airlines points. You'll need to actually earn the miles through AAdvantage.

There are a few ways to do that from within Australia, including:
-Diners Club points can be transferred to AAdvantage
-Amex Membership rewards points (through credit card spend) can be transferred to SPG then onto AAdvantage
-You can buy the miles for USD$29.50 per 1,000 (though there are often bonus deals which reduces this cost)
-Crediting flights (on any oneworld airline or other AA partner) to AAdvantage
