TomCat's new digs!

Site meeting scheduled for this afternoon, so I'm hoping my solution will be workable...will mean some rebricking but the supervisor said thats not a big deal to organise and they have two pallets of spare bricks on site anyway.

Painting was due to start this week so keen to see that too, always hard to know if you've chosen well.

Portal has been updated too  If the pace keeps up there should be no reason we shouldn't be in by the end of September...

Wow. That’s amazing. Just in time for spring planting in the garden!
We are all hanging out for you to get an acceptable - to you and TV - outcome for the entrance.

Yes it'll be perfect for getting the lawn and fruit trees in. I'm also excited that I'll get to plant my summer veggies this year. Just need to work out how to keep Daisy from stealing all the tomatoes

I was excited last year to see my cherry tomatoes forming up. Next day went out and they were half eaten. Bloody possums. We have a possum cage (just a door, nothing nasty inside) and set it up so I could relocate him. Next morning I checked again, and trap had been set off but I couldn’t see the possum. Had to look hard but the culprit was caught - and it was a very large blue tongue lizard! Set him free in the front yard. We are good mates now, he comes out in the sunshine and hangs around while I’ve been making up furniture etc on the front verandah. Put a sign up to all the tradies saying he was harmless and not to touch (or harm ) him.

Don't forget those miniature peaches/nectarines. 'Pixee' from memory. On sale here in Tas now - I just bought 2 more. I got about 6 off my first one in the first year, ~12 full sized ones the second, 20 not-quite full sized the third (I got greedy and din't thin them out). Thing is covered in blossom buds right now (time to spray).

I cannot find a cleaner who will do this. But I have found a specialist service in my area.
I shall give them a try. Oven cleaning is the one thing I hate even more than ironing.
:)
pyrolytic ovens - just nuke everything and then a quick wipe of the ash that’s left.

I had a pyrolytic oven at the last place and hated it. There was always a small area around the door that wasn't blasted by the heat and it was very difficult to clean. I see that Choice has said that even some Miele ovens have this issue. As well, as the oven aged it would smoke a bit when it was being cleaned. In the market for a new oven soon....

Waiting to hear how the site visit went today.:)

ours is a Miele and I haven’t noticed any problems, but then I am pretty sloppy when it comes to cleaning. Smell is an issue, but I just open the house up and the roof windows. Anything that saves me effort is good. I have also discovered if you put the oven baking trays in they come out perfectly clean as well.

House is looking good! Painting well underway and it all looks so lovley and light. Goop is all off the windows. Painting will continue next week then tiling will be done.

Had a good chat about the render and he's going to run my suggestion past the big boss. Doesn't seem to be any reason why it wouldn't work so fingers crossed.
