I wonder if HSBC will honour any Gold status renewals as the T&Cs say Gold status disappears when the card is closed...

What about an additional year of gold if you have already met the requirements for next year?

As discussed in the other thread… the official word seems to be that they are waiting to find out what happens to status once the cards close in November.

I’m hoping the airlines will want to retain the status as it encourages spend?

Has anyone found out more about getting SA points instead of Gold status with Singapore airlines if spent the required 38k dollars after Nov 18.

Also the original deal was 25k kris flyer for starters and additional 20k kf points if spending 48k dollars in first year. Does that change to 38k dollars or just go out the window and get nothing.
