"We're just finetuning some of our ground handling [procedures] and our proving flight is going ahead next week," said Tiger's head of corporate affairs, Matthew Hobbs. "At this point in time we are confident of flying on Friday next week."
The proving flight will see Tiger carry out a flight with full crew onboard under the watchful eyes of the Civil Aviation and Safety Authority. Tiger will need to satisfy all the correct procedures for a commercial flight in order to gain regulatory approval.
Unless Tiger passes next week's test flight with flying colours, it may be forced to cancel the travel plans of thousands of passengers.

The Herald also believes that Tiger is experiencing technical problems with its air operators' certificate since its chief executive, Tony Davis is not an Australian resident."We're just finetuning some of our ground handling [procedures] and our proving flight is going ahead next week," said Tiger's head of corporate affairs, Matthew Hobbs.
