So AFF can have more than one DYKWIA? :p

I guess that collectively that makes them DYKWTA? ;)

Dangerously on-topic, but my CX bookings are now showing up on my QF account, which I guess means the CX Amadeus install is working. I can now manage my booking on the QF website but not the CX website.... I suspect CX coming online may have coincided with the half-hour that I couldn't access the QF website with my PIN, and I had nightmares of someone stealing my identity and going crazy with my 50K points... yeah, okay, they wouldn't get far! ;)

Gremlins got my bank log in yesterday but nothing got siphoned out. Changed my pin with the help of the call centre so it is looking ok. The Bank suggested I change my pin number more often as I was on the phone to them as my 3rd log in attempt locked everything up.
i was thinking anyone stealing FF points from anyone in our community would be rated as the lowest of the low.

How about QF548 today? Due to depart at 7:05, all boarded by 7:00pm, waited at gate until 7:17pm, then waited some more after pushback, went around in circles or figure 8's somewhere along the way, landed at 8:05pm instead of 7:35pm, then waited some more and finally go to stand off gate at 8:22pm some 47 minutes late.

That would be the rain.... I had the same issue (we circled over Ipswich) on Saturday night, last week I also had the same issue (Circle over Cooloongatta) the week before. Any time it rains a little bit heavily, BNE ATC slows things down.

Sounds good! ;)

Posted on a wing & a prayer

Your details being moderator and all I guess that won't change, just thought I would point that out to you.

I believe the handle and level are removed, and replaced with a simple 'DYKWIA'.

I thought Tonyhancock was the only DYKWIA in the place.

I am not an expert but I guess that is one possible excuse. Here is my limited recollection of yesterday's flights from SYD-BNE

- 19:05 QF548 SYD-BNE arrives ~47 minutes late at 20:22
- 20:05 QF552 SYD-BNE arrives ~2 minutes late at 20:37
- 21:05 QF556 SYD-BNE arrives ~42 minutes late at 22:17

It makes no sense to me that 2 aircraft can take off an hour apart and arrive almost together? Did the rain not affect QF552? So heavy rain before and heavy rain after?

Quite conceivably ... Yes. An alternate answer was that there were non-weather related ATC delays for the first flight and weather imposed delays for the third flight, or VV.

OK name one of us who isn't!

I'd prefer it if not everyone was required to know who I am :) and I'd also prefer it that not everyone knows who I am :D
