I was thinking of attending; here is the FT Link: Auckland - 28th to 30th July. I've been investigating airfares.
Thanks for the link. If I do go it will be a late minute decision and more than likely could be a good opportunity to burn some points. Dad is due to return from SKG that weekend so I may decide to stay home instead.

hmmm $218 MEL-BNE-MEL ...
JohnK, perhaps we can discuss this with some native Brisvegans at Ozfest this weekend; W/E Aug 5th & 6th could work well. It also keeps that July weekend free for K/F fest. ;)
I have no problems travelling that weekend. It would be good to decide this week as the $170 SYD-BNE-SYD airfare sounds good. As advised previously I can fly up Saturday afternoon and play golf on the Sunday.

Saw a The Amazing Race crew on not one but 2 flights today. I'm guessing there is a stop/challenge in SIN.

All is OK. Just checking to see who is in here after the recent re-shuffle of forums on AFF.

I hadn't even noticed the reshuffle. I just come straight in to the New Posts link! Still the shuffle has straightened a few things out

Yeah reshuffle looks good. I normally look at new posts as well but wanted to dig up some old threads and noticed the reshuffle.

Ok this thread is trying to die...nothing for a week. Here comes my two points. Firstly I was doing a survey thing, guess I was bored and it was on a random topic, here was one of the Q's.
Q1i. Thinking about Airlines, which companies/brands can you think of that fly international routes from and to Australia? Please write as many as you can think of.

oK.

Secondly, I was to pick up a girl from PER at 0545 Sat morning. SMS'ed to let her know I wasn't parking..pick up only. Driving there, I get a phone call *private number* I answer, Hi is that you Mary#? No, Its Steve from Qantas, Mary# has been unwell and an Ambulance has been called to the plane.

Anyway to cut it short she didn't die or anything. At the airport I saw the Dr who was also on the flight. She had helped and was waiting for an onward connection. I said hi and thanks etc while Qantas were getting some stuff from me and while the Dr was being issued with a new boarding pass...
QF: here is you new seat 2??.
Dr: Oh my husband is joining me on this flight. (I think good work dbl upgrade)
QF: Ok I'll have a look to see what we can do...
Dr: I'm sure I'll be right in 16?? (I think ARE YOU CRAZY!!!)
Me: No, row 2 is MUCH better than 16.

Makes you kind of scared to think that their are people who are out their who have studied for longer than 10 Centrelink Customers and they still don't know where the good seats on aircraft are....

Mal.

The big question is will this thread make it to 1,000 posts?

Eventually.
Should we create a thread on when it will reach 1,000 posts?

Things seem to have moved around again today. Links are in different spots. The tweaking continues

Yes it gets very confusing when you log on in the morning and its all changed by the evening!

Actually, I think this reshuffle was for the better. The tweaking could continue until the balance is right.

Go away for a few days and this thread stalls again.

Anyone, a resuscitator?

It's FREEZING this morning.

It's lovely in Brisbane. It could be because of the weather, or it could be because of last night's score... :D

Damien - did you score last night? :D

Perhaps you were referring to those badly behaved NRL people? I stopped watching that code about 20 years ago. But they still keep me entertained each week with their off-field activities.
