Struggling to use your Frequent Flyer Points?

Frequent Flyer Concierge takes the hard work out of finding award availability and redeeming your frequent flyer or credit card points for flights.

Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, the Frequent Flyer Concierge team at Frequent Flyer Concierge will help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Turns out TKWIA. Priority boarding provided, along with a bit of paper saying go home and don't come back. Gotta love a workplace that doesn't like a slightly infected eye hanging around. Flying home this morning to get into some real work.

Currently testing out emergency department service. Tip for the young player: if something is coming up again and you have a prescription that has previously worked to address the issue, make sure you take it with you when traveling interstate.

Still at least I'm getting paid to watch midday TV.

The main reason for the app is to check what the prices are before you go. When you're inside the shop deciding among the available brands, not a big deal (usually) as you're usually just comparing labels close to each other*. If you need to compare between shops, then that's something else (you don't want to run between the two shops, either wasting time and/or burning more fuel).

* The exception to this is when you have to compare SKUs which are set apart from their standard aisle, e.g. on the "ends" of the aisles (you know how they put random stuff on the ends of aisles where they "don't belong"), or the floor specials.

First I would have looked up the specials before I left home. Then we are lucky. At our regional mall are Woollies,Coles and Aldi.No extra fuel to burn. The fruit place we pass on the way home.

Thanks for that site Flashback as we are nearing our first trip to London for the year with less than a month to go.

You need an app?I still do it all in my head.
And at the fruit place which doesn't take amex I have added up the price as I go-they have scales to tell you the price-so have the exact change when I go to pay.Does some of the young thing's heads in.

You actually use real money to buy things?

LOL - that does seem odd.

FWIW, I've always just done free, and usually get hits reasonably quickly. If selling, don't be too greedy and they will come. Nothing like CL in the US though - it's almost worth having a separate phone for that...

My last shop at Coles I was adding in my head as I went. The register showed $83.68, say, and I said I was expecting $83.67. When the cashier pressed the subtotal button the price dropped by 1c to cancel out the voucher I had scanned. The price then matched what I was expecting. She looked at me with renewed respect - or perhaps as if she thought I had two heads.

The days before eftpos, remember seeing many a person with a calculator adding as they went.... or the shopper at the checkout saying take that out... now sub total... okay take that out until they got to the cash amount they had on them

It is quite handy - I've used it for a cpl of years (and they have mobile phone apps too). Really good for items such as shaver blades, bottles of alcohol and similar where often choosing where to shop can save anything up to 10 quid or more on just one item.

My local woollies has presliced 1/2 rockmelon for $3, or you could get a whole one for $2.50.

If you don't sell within the first week, it becomes uphill going.

True - depends on the article in question and liquidity of the market.

Yes, but who in their right mind would pay $3 for a half, when they could get 2 halves for $2.50. :)

One thing about the half is that at least you get an opportunity to see what the inside is like. Also, for our family - mrs coco and me, even though we have fruit salad for breakfast three times a week, we would probably waste half of the rockmelon. So, based on our principle of trying to waste as little as possible, we, in our right minds, would probably only buy a half. Sorry!

Entirely agree with your comments. Also, many buyer clients of Gumtree expect the world for nothing!
