The ten signs that you travel too much. (my personal ones)

I even left out the part about being snowed in, hubbing in Chicago on the way home (flying UA) which meant it was even longer.

Vowed from then on to fly Delta LAX - ATL - LAX, which was also quicker than UA via Chicago, and stuff the points. Realised that was what many West Coast, Coca Cola commuters did too!

(trying to work out how to include other peoples quotes here!)

I charge all flights and accommodation where possible to my AMEX. I can recite this number, including expiry date and security code without removing the card from my wallet.

I can only recite the first 4 numbers of my MC, which I use for everyday charges.

I am sure we will relate to this one....

When we log onto the frequentflyer.com.au website, and consider it a "social life"

:D

.... and your point is :?:

pondering what I have written I have now determined that my social life should include more people than the club receptionists, hotel checkin clerks and car rental staff!!!

wondering if i should be on a plane - instead of on a 4 way conference call - Melbourne - Los Angeles - Hannover - London => meet more friends

I travel domestically only these days, and to paint the picture I fly only between major oz cities, and have done 46 flights so far since Jan 1 this year.

I flew my last three trips on Qantas just to try something out.. this is odd for me because I have come to enjoy flying Virgin... anyhooo

Each flight was:
- Delayed or cancelled - could have been pure coincidence...
- My priority bags were not
- QP was packed at each port, screaming kids, SOME unfriendly staff
- Entered the QP, flashed my card and took two non member friends in with me without question
- So many ads on screen in flight there was barely any content worth watching (happier to pay $5 to watch what I want)

So even though I have status with Qantas and have had since 92 I enjoy my flying experience so much more with DJ these days. The club is more exclusive, the staff enjoy their job, and I don't get hassled by any AMEX people in the club lounge... I couldn't believe it...it's hard enough getting through an airport and dodging those guys without having to dodge them in the lounge as well - that was actually the final straw for me...

So the sign that I travel too much is that I can compare airlines week to week and make what I feel a final choice on which airline I will now fly... and I make this decision after having just forked out a QP membership - anyone that hasn't flown DJ really should give it a go. Of course if you don't fly Y for whatever reason then it won't be for you... YET....

Now who at Virgin should I send my bill to????

Ooh I forgot to post in this thread straight after I got back from my trip. Anyhoo... I don't consider myself a very frequent traveller like some of you more hardcore flyers - but I was recognised by the barman at the SIN QF/BA J lounge on Saturday! :D :D And I didn't even recognise him when I first saw him. Turns out that he also doubles up as the barman at the SQ Flounge, and recognised me from my addiction to dom perignon at the SKL F . Then we chatted about what I was doing over at a OW lounge.........:p

I have a new (and rather sad) one. The only chance I have of a relationship is with somebody who lives outside of Australia (the country I nominally live in, but spend no time there).

Only if you're in one place long enough to actually meet somebody in the first place. I feel I should start asking Lufthansa hosties on dates.

I think I'll avoid asking US Airways or United hosties as their more than likely old enough to be my grandmother.

There must be a frequent flying dating website somewhere!
