The Qantas Newbie Questions Thread

That's a fair. I guess this is more akin to if QF149 is cancelled then it makes QF152 obsolete. from a pax perspective. I just wondered if QF would have any leeway on that specific matter. I was previously burned by QF149 when connecting to CX AKL-HKG due to a cancellation.

Having had a look at QF149, there hasn't been any cancellations over the past 4 months but you never know how weather might turn out. Would QF157 be safer due to the lack of a curfew?
The QF139 (ex SYD) tonight had a three and a bit hour delay. Now due at 340am into AKL!

Cancellation of the 149 would potentially come under 7.3 (ii), allowing a full refund. But you still gotta somehow get to your 152?

I would hope that QF might put me on the next day to AKL and push 152 back by a day. Am I dreaming? 😂

Edit: Ideally if there is some bad weather, I would like to see whether I could be rerouted via BNE or MEL to avoid it if possible.
