Thank you for your loyalty

That’s normal. Mine is a bug, because they did show but the balance was wrong. And the balance for SC was correct but not points.

Sounds like others have the same issue.
Did you screen shot the pre-gift balance?

The website is usually most reliable as the app can need a few swipes back and fourth to get the dashboard and QFF activity to align..

Tried both desktop and phone. I'm well aware of the app lag issue but that's not this as I can see the transactions, just the balance is wrong. With the lag you don't see new transactions.

As I posted upthread I've already confirmed with QFF that my balance is as I think it should be, and the web & app are serving me the pre-gift balance. A few others in my position it seems.

They raised a ticket for it and want me to update them if it doesn't fix itself today. But my balance on their system is correct so not too concerned.

Well, my 5000 points and 80 SCs have lobbed in. Already had PCP requalification lined up (and by the looks of it, the points didn't count for that for me, weirdly, given that it was stated that they would) and I'm 601 SCs off WP, so it's of limited use to me.

Looks like they might be flowing through to PC as “Flying” points even though they posted as “Other” category.

So if you’re already over 18500 in flying, you might not see the full amount posting towards PC.

Yeah - I've maxed out my flying PC points this year already.

Just when I thought Qantas couldn't make this promotion any more annoying...

Definitely in the Flying Points bucket for me.

Well that is just dumb; as I always exceed the 20k points from flying (that is a very very low bar); and their comms had indicated they would count towards points club not flying.

So now no benefit from the points and no benefit from the SCs which weren't needed this FF year, a whole lotta nothing even though i have forward bookings to exceed what I need for WP renewal!

Seems like the least loyal with the fewest flights booked are the only ones to get any actual benefit from this fake loyalty thank-you.

Happy to take the points off your hands if you don't want them 😆

@admin @Princess Fiona @Mattg will AFF be reaching out to Qantas as to why the loyalty points awarded to points club and Points club + members (which is a scheme primarily for non-flyers) were recognised as "in the Air" flying points and not "On the Ground". Its more rewarding if they are considered on the ground points, since there is not a crazy low limit in that category; and they had nothing to do with flying (thats what the SC gift was for).

Per the Q&A section of the Loyalty SC & points announcement:
"Will the Qantas Points gift contribute towards Points Club membership?
Yes, the Qantas Points gift will contribute toward the Points Club and Points Club Plus".

They are therefore meant to be treated as ground points.
I have confirmed this to be the case with the FF service centre. They have raised a ticket with the points club team to address the points not being added to the PC points earned tally automatically.
I suspect it is a timing issue. My 300sc requalifies me for P1 (I only needed 52sc). It is showing in the SC count but is not reflected in my expiry date yet.
Just give it time.

This 150 SCs is basically useless to me, doesn't count to LTG and comes 3 days before the start of my new year when I could have actually used it. To not allow members to select a date for it to drop is a massive own goal in my eyes. Or let me gift it to my wife etc... its 150 SCs that dissapear in 3 days and don't count to anything. Thanks for nothing Qantas
