Did the same....cricketsI sent Qantas some feedback to say the bonus status credits are of zero value unless I have the option of getting them in the next membership year. Let’s see if I get a reply.
Good Lord. That’s nothing new. Showing loyalty to an airline especially with Qantas is a waste of time & effort and especially a waste of money.I showed MY loyalty Qantas - and you Qantas, have shown the exact opposite.....
And the 40 gift SCs are showing on my lifetime tally.
My tally also shows similar, in that 200SCs have been 'Earned this year' (the sum of a Loyalty Bonus of 50 SCs which was carried over, and the 150 SCs loyalty Thank You gift at the WP level... plus I have a PC+ 100 SC rollover), however the Lifetime Status Credits total does NOT reflect the 150 SCs that were gifted; only the 50 SCs from the loyalty bonus. I track lifetime SCs separately offline, so can confirm this is the case. I expect that yours will be the same; the 40 SCs shown in Earned this year didn't count to LT status. You would have been at 8,514 total even before they were added. My 40 SC gift has landed along with my 5,000 points for Point Club+... very happy as my membership year ends August so at least I now have 140 SCs to start the new year with!

Oh no that sucks. I honestly can't remember how much I had before... The "gift" dropped on 3/9 into account and is dated 1/9 along with the 5000 points club plus extras...You'll probably find that the already earned tally has been reduced by 40.
Correct on the PC+ rollover - it's not considered 'Earned this year', and doesn't ever show in that LT view (except in the previous year when they were actually earned!). The rollover goes towards your current year status chase, but nothing else.Oh no that sucks. I honestly can't remember how much I had before... Although the 100 PC+ status rollover doesn't show this way? But I guess due to it being a rollover and not new SCs? Gosh, they make loyalty way more complicated than it should be.
I'm so far off LTG anyway and with my corporate travelling days gone, I'm not going make it I don't reckon. Now I'm paying, it will be things like Saudia business class, Philippines or China Airlines premium for me in the future!
Same boat - the counter indicates that the 150 I was gifted counts towards LT (i.e. the total showing is 100 less than my current count, which is the 100 rollover for PC+). However, the "Already Earned" is now 150 less than it was before (I also keep a record of these offline). I've taken inspiration from you and the others in this thread to begin keeping a record offline too. I just don't trust the way those numbers add up sometimes.Same boat - the counter indicates that the 150 I was gifted counts towards LT (i.e. the total showing is 100 less than my current count, which is the 100 rollover for PC+). I strangely received the 300 bonus SCs last night, but my total didn't reflect a change. This morning after a flight and the credits for that flight being added did the total increase.
Mine has been reduced by 150, and the earned this year 150 more than I have otherwise earned.
I almost wonder if there's enough gaslighting going on to warrant a formal complaint to Qantas - "sneakily" reducing your already earned total to make it look like the thank you credits did count towards the bonus.
There is also a promise on the lifetime page that "your status credits reset each year but never totally disappear" - no asterisk, if buts or maybes.
In comparison, points club plus rollover SCs never hit the yearly total at all - and should be how they apply here, if they're not intended to apply to lifetime.
There may be some quirks in the way the website presents the data but you’re no worse off.

It's for 18 months of activity though. Anyway. No sign of mine. Its downright misleading to reduce my start of year position, I earnt those 150SCs last FF year.
Very lazy programming and completely unnecessary given they already have other ways to flag non-contributing SCs without diminishing prior year earn.
Do they still allow smoking on Saudia?Oh no that sucks. I honestly can't remember how much I had before... The "gift" dropped on 3/9 into account and is dated 1/9 along with the 5000 points club plus extras...

Only if you can get yourself back to 2002Do they still allow smoking on Saudia?
I got a reply basically saying bad luck they are points from flying even though everyone know points clubs is for non-flyers. Disappointing but not unexpected.Ive lodged a complaint via the online form not that they ever read those
