I booked an Accor hotel in Australia through Qantas Hotels.

Received 3 Qantas Points per $1.

I thought you were supposed to get 4 points per $1?

FWIW, the only reason I booked through Qantas Hotels was to get a green tier leaf. That didn't credit either, and I had to manually follow up for that.

It says 3ppd on the Qantas site, so it may not be one of the "selection of" 300 sites in the image you posted above. I note Handwritten is not listed in that link either. Definitely a green tier hotel though.
Certainly seems that way. There's about 360 Accor Hotels in Australia, so I guess there's a bunch that don't offer 4ppd.

So, I contacted the Qantas Frequent Flyer Service Centre to follow up on my missing points. This was the reply:

Our team has reviewed the details of your recent hotel stay. We can confirm that this booking was made under Qantas Hotels and not with ALL Accor. As a result, this stay does not participate in the Accor Live Limitless program.

:rolleyes:

Well that doesn't add up as the offer page clearly says book via Qantas hotels. The QF points for Accor booking via All is a different arrangement/offer.

This is absurd given the partnership between QF & ALL.
I am also considering booking a stay through QF to qualify for Green status.
But why bother if I won't enjoy my ALL status benefits (upgrade, bottle of wine etc) and it won't credit to my ALL account?
Might as well stay somewhere else!
Or forget the Green status completely and just earn 50 extra SCs from flying.
The status serves no other purpose and I will struggle to qualify in a 5th category as this has become very difficult for Perth based members.

Accor have several partners, ie. Qantas, AMEX, etc.. Keep in mind that bookings made by QF/Amex with Accor are directed through a third party, like Agoda, Booking.com, which results in you not being awarded the Accor points or your status benefits. I have experienced this several times. Book direct to get Accor points plus the Qantas points and the benefits that your Accor level offers. It’s Accor playing silly beggars and whomever you contact will pass the buck to the other party.

It’s well known, Qantas hotels has nothing to do with ALL as they use Expedia which are non earning.

It's well known and I am also well aware.
My point is that given that:
  1. There is such a close partnership between ALL & QFF;
  2. Managment of many QF lounges has been outsourced to Accor; and
  3. QF has a deal with Accor for staff accomodation during layovers;
The well known situation is absurd.
QFH & ALL should negotiate a direct relationship, bypass the third party booking services and deliver seamless cross-program benefits to their loyal customers.

Absolutely. You have covered it 100%.

Reality is they are not that close. And for whatever reason QF hotels use Expedia rather than build their own engine which results in no recognition at all number of hotel chains for their loyalty members. Given the well known and documented issues with their flight booking engine, that’s probably a good thing.
