Thank you for enlarging the photos. I have never seen lights strung like that at any beach resort. Unique!

We came across similar in DaNang at our resort last yearThank you for enlarging the photos. I have never seen lights strung like that at any beach resort. Unique!
Just going through my photos and here is one of the lights at night @Melburnian1Excellent trip report @Flyfrequently .
In post #34, what is the purpose of the barrier in the sea? To denote that you can't swim beyond there?

Me too! And a girly swot! And all those other "insults" for people who are afraid to break the rules (apart from my tendency to "collecting"). So I always get a permit, and almost always get the same reactions that you have reported - only place that cared at all was Japan.Actually, I wonder why I bother @RooFlyer - oh, forgot, I'm a catastrophiser![]()
As with any destination @XavierP it is all about choosing the location that works! Thanks for the TR; interesting read. Not a foodie but would be looking at what type of equipped gyms these hotels had!
And yup I have only been to coughet once and that was also enough for me (at least, that's what I thought until I read this TR). It is now a "maybe" for future
Thank you again.
