Wooosh....
JohnK, that's an example of NM's humor, 'tis a deliberate self contradicting statement.

Similer to that proverbial sign in a restaturant "Jumbo Shrimp". Other examples are "Government Organization", "Alone Together", "Silent Scream" and "Plastic Glasses".

There's 10 kinds of people - those who understand binary and those that don't.

How about American Beer .

Now Now, there are a fair number of small breweries in the US producing decent beers; In the city who's airport I assume is spensored by the Microsoft Network, the off licences had lots of different local beers

'm there Friday...

Where can I try some? (and how does it equate to an HP in a QP, aside from cost ;) )

Baker Street is an "English Pub" style place out along Camp Bowie. Not bad and you can order Bangers and Mash or Sheppherds Pie etc. Its quite a happening place, especially Thursday-Sunday evenings.

You will also find it at The Bull & Bush, which I think from memory is on Montgomory (north off I30 on the west side of Ft Worth). This is an old garage that was converted into a pub by a pom - very different to Baker Street and not a bad atmosphere.

The Rahr Blond Ale is hoppier than HP and very nice in the hot summer weather. They also do a good red.

Of course, The Flying Saucer is the place for beer selection in Ft Worth. Its down town at the corner of 7th and Commercial. You can even find Coopers Ale there!

Where are you staying in the DFW area? I can probably recommend a few restaurants etc in Ft Worth if you like.

When I was in Huntsville on my last trip. There was a nice micro brew called Old Towne.. The Amber Bock was a fantastic beer to drink in the warm weather..

Also the Dos Equis is not too bad if your stuck for choices..

'Tis all moot now I guess.

My QF flight to LAX has been rescheduled 100 minutes later and I had to change my LAX-DFW.

Unfortunately, the first available flight within MCT is an MD80 getting me to DFW @ 9:45pm. :(

At least it's a "Dinner" flight ... :-|

Such a large schedule change is a pain. I had a couple of flights 90 minutes late the other day and was fortunate I had just enough time to make onward flight - minus the lounge visit, shower and drink I had planned for the transit.
