Seeking expressions of interest in Southern/Eastern Tasmania wine tour

The only weekend I could attend is July 30/31 :(

At this point in time the only weekend that is a definite non starter is July 9,10.
Hopefully by the end of next week will be able to firm up dates for being in Tassie in winter.

I (+1) am somewhat interested in attending, depending on the date of course. The last weekend in June and the first two in July are definitely out - there is no way I can get a couple of days leave at end of financial year. Like Buzz, I also have to content with silly flights out of Adelaide.

I would like to express interest in this wine tour. For me the weekend of 9/10 July is most likely out.
Just wonder if the weekends of 11/12 June and 18/19 June will be difficult for accommodation and flights, due to the public holiday, and Dark mof_.

At this stage we have no plans for June/July and are happy to fit in on any weekend.

Unfortunately we will be away all of June and the only weekend in July have booked flights to WA to see our daughter.

Hopefully you will do 2 tours and the 2nd one will suit those that can't make this one !!

I'm with straitman - my wife loves Tassie and I love wines. Would need to make a weekend of it to be cost justifiable. Won't worry me about winter, but need to plan around baby sitters availability (my parents) and I'd fly in Fri night and leave Sun PM.

OK. First, an apology to those waiting to see what's happening. Things have been a bit hectic then I had to recover from the Hunter Valley tour

My conclusion is that we are unlikely to have enough starters for a 'traditional' AFF wine tour of 20 or so, especially as it'll be over 2 days and more often than not, there are pull-outs for various reasons before the tour. The cost of a bus driver including overnight for 10-15 participants would be higher than most would want.

Therefore I intend to off some 'personalised' wine tours of Hobart/East Tas. The concept is that we would hire a 'people mover' (6-8 pax) and I would drive, and we'd do the 2 day tour that way. I expect to run it at least a few times before next summer, nominating dates when I expect to be free. The route we would take is half taken by me once or twice a week anyway, and the rest is also well-travelled.

The first tour will be by 'invitation' as a trial. If you have previously nominated that weekend, please don't be offended if you aren't asked. I owe some favours and there are some who will forgive me if things don't go according to plan! Those who expressed interested to date will get priority in subsequent trips.

Backing you all the way on this RooFlyer, invite or not. I have staff issues at the moment but am certain I will attend sometime this year.

Sounds like a good way to do it RooFlyer, and a little more intimate than a big group.

Thank you also for offering to drive, as I know this is a sacrifice.

I am definitely interested.

Things have changed for me.After 8 years the Tasmanians have woken up to me and this stint looks like the last I will do.So at present the only weekend I and mrsdrron are available is 24/25 June. The last 3 weekends of July may work but that could change.

It is a bit of a ways off, and dependent on me getting the requisite vacation time, but I would definitely be interested in a November trip. Probably the weekend of November 5th, either the Saturday or Sunday. Like Buzzard, supporting all the way and sounds like a good idea. I did a ~9 person tour operated by a one-woman business in the Marlborough across the ditch and it worked very well. It's a good group size honestly.
