SC run ideas to take advantage of Doublc SC promo

Yeah, Mel - ool is saver, was meant to go for a 4 day getaway with the hubby but er decided to abort and save our money for our trip to Vietnam in Jan! So After the ool - Mel I should be on silver! Maybe I should sign the hubby up to velocity so I can get his sc from Mel - ool, even though I will be flying by myself, if I check him in and he does a no show, will he still get points and sc?

As your MEL-OOL is a saver, then you won't be silver after the OOL-MEL unless you buy two separate fares OOL-SYD and SYD-MEL, both in PE!

If you're going and you already have yours and hubbies saver fares (and presumably some kind of GC accom)......why not just buy the last two fares and family pool hubbies points?? Sound to me like that will be cheaper to achieve silver and no, unfortunately no shows get neither the points nor SCs. Also, we've assumed the MEL-OOL ticket was purchased during the double SC bonus period. If you already had that seat booked before the promo, I'm pretty sure you don't get the double SCs for that one (so the 15 Scs may be just that.....15 not 30). The promo "buy" period was (from memory) 31/10/11 to 13/11/11 for travel before 31/1/12. Outside those dates is a no go for double SCs.

It's definiyely over. The DC banner went off the VA website overnight; Nov 14 I put five flights through just in time. A little too close for comfort though.
