RewardPay Alternatives

The other shopping centres who sell these Eftpos cards, do they have high limit like $995 and can be used at AP?

They might. Have to go slow with purchases build up over a long time. Sticks out like a sore thumb to nosey staff if you buy large quantities to meet your funding requirements. One place stopped selling them to me ... in case of fraud.

Westfield has traditionally been easier to buy a larger quantity though if you spend too many of them all at once at AP, best to take a break from Westfield.

Shame they can't do Canberra payments at full point earn - they tag them as government payments so avoid doing these types of payments. Otherwise, much better than worrying about buying low denomination GCs at supermarkets unless you're paying seriously high bills and they're prepared to let you split payments.

Glad I only did a tester-coming up as ATO on transaction history. Should have checked back up the thread-I had a bad feeling but didn't follow up on it

I've just been in correspondence with Bluechain. They are back to paying full points for ATO spend. (They were in Feb - I paid a BAS, but not in May when I did a test after others here mentioned reduced rate)

That's great, but can you clarify how we would get full points on ATO spend, given that I assume that AMEX transaction says something like 'BC ATO' and would therefore be half-points as per AMEX rewards?

They didn't two days ago

I have to say I'm finding bluechain v seamless to use

I've got Bluechain, but prefer to use RP or B2Bpay. Perhaps I haven't figured it out, but having to add billers on the computer, and then switch to my mobile app to pay the biller seems a bit inefficient. Is there a way to do both on one device?

Yeh I know - it's a bit clunky in that regard, BUT once it's set-up, paying billers via the app is so efficient - I haven't used RP or B2B in a while, but I don't remember them having an app (you can of course login to the BC site on your phone, add billers and switch to app for payment, but that probably doesn't help overly!) - also, BC at 1.8% +gst is really appealing currently - the value of the points, even for personal spend (but definitely for business spend), makes it hard to resist even if points are de-valued in the short to medium term

they confirmed this for me directly as well

I haven't tested it yet, but they said they changed the billing code they use back to the original one, which gains full points.

They've said the same thing to me - I'm tempted to use them for a large ATO Payment shortly. Anyone already paid ATO via BC since the change and got full points?

Just tried another tester with BC and it says ATO on the pending so I think it will be no go. I am using the biller code on the payment slip-should I be using something different

Since you mention biller code, so it's via BPAY? If so, consider using CreditRewards
