Recreating an airline meal at home for a dinner party

Let's hope the parents don't pull out of any JSA's they may have entered into, it would be terrible for the guests to be earning 0.25 points per mile and then denied access to the lounge. :p Although it would always be possible to negotiate a deal to allow them access to the family room I suppose.

Of course anybody who asks for a special meal has to be served first.

Oh and no electronic devices (including mobiles) can be turned on until the seatbelt sign is turned off by the Captain.

And turn it off 5 minutes before the end.

Don't laugh. This happened to me in December on the way back from BKK.

I was watching Premium Rush, and thought I could fit it in, but they kept making announcements.

I had to bail about 7 minutes from the end.

LMAO! So the guests go to the lougeroom before the flight, then are seated (after a boarding call of course). And once dinner is over (and the movie) you open the front door and everyone has to make a mad rush for it.

No thanks. I will pass on that one.

McDonalds could supply these.

How about setting up web page for OLCI and charge for preselected seating?

Charge extra for a seat close to the front & back doors (exit row seating).

Also; the added 'enhancement" of the credit card convenience fees.

Don't follow the meal we had on a Manila to Davao flight on Philippine Airline was the smallest packet of peanuts in existence (think of 20c piece) plus a glass of water they have soft drink!.

Also at times on PR Dom you can only have a (1) choice between the coffee/tea or water.

My photos up thread are from an earlier, Ansett-sponsored version of Air Chittock!
Thought the chairs looked similar ;)

He no longer has VH-OEJ's paint job on his walls, not sure about the old J seats.

For the longest time, it was his lounge (and the paint job, well that's just insane).

And if anyone wants AN stuff:

That's the Cutlery/Crockery. I've bought a few bits and pieces from them, and their service is great. It's a blast from the past:)

I think I was there in November 2003.

A good idea for deserts would be to get those OMG! (that's what they're called) available in woolworths usually 2 for $5. Good variety of cheesecakes and other mousses which are about airline meal size.
