I'd like to see NSW turn up the pressure and refuse to take any Qld citizens as Quarantine arrivals until Qld takes its fair share.

NSW 350/day - 2350 a week
QLD - 500 a week

Just on population, Qld should be at least 3x what it has been.

Yes, if your endpoint isnt NSW you can sod off. Well not to be harsh, let's allow an exemption for ACT, VIC and TAS due to lack of international service.

Everyone else can take care of their own.

NSW has a number of ways to inflict pressure on Queensland which have not been used yet. But these aren't yet necessary as the tourism industry is about to go nuclear on AP and there is pressure to halve the Young Rule of 28 days back to 14 - which needs to be agreed by all CHOs for some reason.

Coronavirus Queensland: Annastacia Palaszczuk spent $528,000 of taxpayers money on COVID-19 opinion polling

Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk’s department has reportedly spent more than half a million dollars on polling to gauge “sentiment” over her tough coronavirus border restrictions ahead of the state election next month.

Ms Palaszczuk has consistently said all COVID-19 restrictions are based on health advice from chief health officer Jeannette Young, and her office last month denied the government had done polling to test support for border closures.

The state shut its borders on March 26 and reopened to all but Victoria on July 10, before again closing its borders to NSW and the ACT on August 8.

Ms Palaszczuk has come under growing pressure from her NSW counterpart Gladys Berejiklian and Prime Minister Scott Morrison over the hardship caused by the border closures.

Does Dr Young invite him to the AFL party house though? or Tom Hank's villa? So confusing!
A State visit require the host to put the visiting head of the other jurisdiction to be put up at Government House......lol. Isn’t that normal protocol??? Lol

I would be happy to see fed and state politicians separately held accountable for their separate duties.

At the same time: It's not bullying to criticise or question public officeholders regarding the public policy for which they are responsible, and we should not dignify cynical pleas of "bullying" in lieu of response.

I always thought the "Borg" was one of the more sane LNP members.
Doesn't take much to appear sane when you're up against Frecklington, Mander and Langbroek.

PER is at 525 per week and ADL at 500, how many more should they be taking too?

Qld is third largest state but in addition normally has disproportionate number of visitors so 1/3 of all quaros nationally at a minimum probably more would be fair.

Short of the mark Anna.

Except the people returning aren't visitors, they're residents. NSW has the largest population, plus they're most likely taking people from ACT, Victoria and Tasmania and SYD has more flights than BNE, ADL or PER arriving.
