Thanks Lance- A F Assist, we have secured our award around the world flights with our Qantas points.Do we accrue status credits/ QFF points on these flights?

But I just found out there may be some unique scenarios:

OK yes there are SOME scenarios where points may be gained from award flights:

1. IRROPS or reroutes done "incorrectly" by booking into a revenue earning booking class will earn. Sometimes agents book into the wrong class, or do it to override a restriction, or whatever. Not something to EVER be relied on.
2. As part of a promotion - from time to time QF will have those promotions - almost always only on Y redemptions - to earn some points on them. I admit I have not seen one for awhile, but they have been done from time to time.
3. If paying for a revenue fare using points (which is not a Classic Reward anyway but more a highly overpriced Any Seat Award) - this is also the case when using points+pay for a booking.

The scenario of a RTW reward booking using points doesn't fall into any of these (unless 1 occurs)

31 October 2013 was the last offer I received. Maybe Qantas will offer again in the Centenary Year??
