QF PER-SIN cancelled, rebooked on Jetstar? Is this acceptable?

Has MH stopped flying their double dailys into PER?

The question remains the same, has MH stopped flying the extra services into PER?

Doesnt look the same question to me

Its never been a double daily as already stated, current NS13 ops

MH125 KUL0930 – 1500PER 333 D
MH127 KUL2000 – 0130+1PER 333 457
MH127 KUL2020 – 0150+1PER 333 26

MH126 PER0230 – 0800KUL 333 156
MH126 PER0250 – 0820KUL 333 37
MH124 PER1630 – 2200KUL 333 D

Edit: Strange they told you the OW rights don't apply as the first CSR I spoke to advised that as it was now a QF codeshare they would honour the QF conditions of 30kg bags, SCs/miles and a food and drink voucher.

We were booked on Sing to Perth QF 78-- now changed to Jet Star- But, only compensated with a Sing$10 voucher each for meals !!!
Is this all that Qantas values its meals + drinks on its flights ? I think this is an insult to QFF clients.

Only $10 SGD, stingy

I think you should push for travel with another OW carrier. Then you wouldn't need the vouchers.

Oh, and welcome to AFF! ;)

Yes and no. For what is such a short flight (5'ish hours) is it really worth adding on all that extra time? Economy is economy and won't be all that much different IMHO for a daytime flight.

2 services off a double daily - whoopdy do. Point was there are multiple options with MH, I am surprised nothing lines up.

There is no need to belittle people as a moderator Markis.

Economy is not 3K Economy, which for the average Aussie would be bearable for a max two hours based on my experience.

Re: 27th February Big Qantas announcement

Hi all, my first post!

We had our SIN-PER flight cancelled but refused J* as coming from LHR on BA in J. Now rerouted via DXB to MEL and then to PER from LHR which makes it a long, long trip. Had booked it nearly a year ago and blown all our FF points. Will also loose the amount I paid for a seat selection on BA.

Nukie

I assume you had LHR (BA) SIN (QF) PER whereas you now have something like LHR (QF) DXB (QF) MEL (QF) PER?

I wonder if they couldn't just do LHR-DXB-PER and stick you in J on the QF EK codeshare... that would make more sense to me!

It would cost QF some dollars to put someone on an award ticket on the EK codeshare...

Edit: I suppose it's not all bad given that (presuming the QF10 routing) they've gotten a free upgrade in hard and soft product.

There is an earlier post from markis10 that has the info about being able to be rebooked on EK, you may have to read it real close, but I think it mentioned that award flights had the same options as paid fares.
Therefore LHR-DXB-PER is an option.
You just have to "suggest" the routing to the CSR.

Re: 27th February Big Qantas announcement

but I think it mentioned that award flights had the same options as paid fares.

With the following condition:

Passengers who are travelling on Qantas & Partner Classic Award tickets are entitled to the same options and conditions as listed above provided any travel rebooked or rerouted is made on an eligible Qantas Frequent Flyer Partner Airline and any travel booked on a partner airline is subject to award seat availability. Classic Award tickets cannot be retained in credit.

There is possibly no award availability and so the next option was to have QF manually open up award availability on QF10 to accomodate.

Re: 27th February Big Qantas announcement

Tried all that, and via HK. Getting to Perth is the problem! Just have to do a few more hours flying.

Also has a QF via SIN to HKT booked for August; cancelled it and got a full refund. Now going with Singapore.

How long did it take to get a refund back, plus did you call Qantas or did they call you.. So far I have had nothing change on my booking watching it daily

I rang Qantas to cancel the HKT flight, mainly because our LHR to PER via SIN was rebooked only 4 weeks before we're leaving (so not much award availability) and I didn't want to wait too long in case that one ended up all Jetstar. I think the refund came within a week, 10 days at most. Cancelling before they did gave us a few options (not going until August).SQ ended up costing the same and no huge wait in SIN, just leaving earlier. Good luck with it.

I was booked on June 22nd MAN-LHR-SIN, stopover, SIN-PER with BA (QF078 SIN-PER ) At first BA just tried to cancel the whole booking but under eu reg 261/2004 I insisted on re-routing. They came back with the J* option which I refused and although somewhat inconvenient I am now currently booked on QF052 to BNE and QF589 BNE-PER. It was all on one pnr I am glad to say. The long detour is infinitely preferably than suffering J* on that route ( flew per-sin 2 weeks ago with J* ) for a second time. There was no mention of baggage allowance carrying over which was also a concern. The issue I have yet to resolve is the reduction in FF points which I intend taking up with BA.

For anyone who has called expedia Brazil, what number have you used? My brother is apparently trying to call and can't get through. I haven't tried myself yet, though.

Are there others out there still waiting for the elusive callback re the 3K downgrade?? Was I gullible in believing it would happen? :( Tried the call centre tonight and was told the wait could be a few more weeks. Pretty sure there will be zero alternatives remaining by that time! In the unfortunate case that i am likely stuck on 3K, can anyone confirm/deny if there will be in flight entertainment PER-SIN? my kids will go bonkers without it!
