Any thoughts on the Y Bulkhead row (right - 51H/G) vs 66x etc?
Tossing up whether to run with this or purchase an exit seat. 80/71 options all gone!![]()
Overall I've found the seats to be the same as a bulkhead, though very little mingling traffic like in 66 because it's the front of whY class.
How about legroom comparisons? I'm 6ft, so a pretty important element.
I've sat in 80A + 79B thus far in the QF380 which have been great.
Just had a look through this thread and nobody has mentioned row 50, it is coming up as a leg space seat. Anybody any experience? I have selected 80K at the moment but if 50 gets the thumbs up I will move, I like to be of the aircraft fast
Don't give up on the other good seats. I leave for LAX on Friday, and have checked the seating each day for the last 4 weeks - got 71D about 3 weeks ago SYD-LAX, then got 71D lax-syd 10 days ago, and just moved from 71D to 80a yesterday.
I more than happy at the moment.
I'm a super big fan of 80A as well. Was SO SO comfortable for the whole trip.
And yeah - people are very jealous.
However - I do like the idea of getting off the plane earlier, so am in pains trying to figure out whether to go for 80A, 50C or 66D/G on my next flight......

I did mention it on another thread:Just had a look through this thread and nobody has mentioned row 50, it is coming up as a leg space seat. Anybody any experience? I have selected 80K at the moment but if 50 gets the thumbs up I will move, I like to be of the aircraft fast
We experienced the joys of 50B/C SIN-LHR with baby (mum in 50A) and LHR-SIN without baby (150cm Singapore resident lady in 50A).
The former was Ok; well behaved child, but that can go "pear shaped" on any given day.
The latter was great.
I think the front row bassinet may be the last one allocated unless a WP needs one.
For two people travelling together it is a risk, but the reward is high too.
One thing to note that if the bassinet is set up, then it's quite difficult for 50A/B PAX to get out.
I am not a huge fan of 80K but have it pre-allocated for a flight in 4 days time.Just had a look through this thread and nobody has mentioned row 50, it is coming up as a leg space seat. I did exactly the same on my recent LHR-MEL... 71D upon ticket purchase and then 80A at T-80. Best. Economy Seat. Ever. I had a blow-up ottoman, so was able to stretch out very comfortably indeed. People kept stopping and asking how I scored the seat.
Certainly! Is there enough room to actually exit out the front of 80A/K??

An excellent seat (although I did not have an 80B occupant beside me).
