My autopay application failed so I haven't used the card for a few weeks.
What did they say?
I got a letter back saying that I didn't enter my account details on the form. I'm sure I did, but alas I couldn't prove it as i didn't make a copy of it. I filled it out again, faxed it off and it's now setup (after I rang them to confirm). I hate not being able to setup a direct debit online...

I went overseas so I was using my US Amex Premier Rewards CC in the US instead. Now that I am back I will try again.

I just came from round the world travel with wife using one world business class round the world point system. Qantas MC is a absolute nightmare and it works in Spore and london and after few acceptance, card start to refuse saying PIN is wrong which I never changed and worked. Having to pay 700 pounds for dinner may have spooke the qantas security and its morons.
I was in NY, HK and Tokyo and Qantas MC lost at least 11k of spending and having these multiple pass codes and passwords are so confusing and I am going to return my card since security is done by a absolute moron that does not understand how security work properly.
Just now I spend more than 30 mints with card lady to get those sorted out and she even said security is done by qantas and not citi people.
Once you are log in why do you have to type 8 or more digits password?
Hope qantas security guys goes back to kindergarten to get proper education. I have told the lady I want to cancel the card. I do have 2 city cards, MC and Visa more than 20 yrs and this qantas card is a absolute nightmare ..

Curious to know if you had advised them beforehand that you were going overseas ? I did so, and am currently overseas travelling but, touch wood, have not had any issues.

Yes, I did tell them all the cities I was travelling in advance... It work only in spore and few in london..

I called again today to ask about adding a supplementary card holder.

I was assured it was a feature of the card product, but it was not available yet and there was still no schedule for its availability.

Sounds as if they thought someone else had used your card for lunch. We had a similar experience using a BankWest card in the US, despite telling them of our journey, they cancelled it because they thought an item we purchased was not in our spending pattern...

Just to add to the data set, my second statement arrived today. I got my 60k points as per the bonus.

Zero points earning transactions like government seem to count towards the spend target, even if you earn no points for them. Of course, cash advances and other standard exclusions won't go to the spend target, but that is outlined in the T&Cs that someone quoted some time ago.

Good to know, thanks. Certainly what the T&Cs suggest & a helpful data point as council rates have recently arrived (in Vic at least!)

Also got my bonus points on second statement. Only hit minimum spend this month so happy they have come through straight away.

Made min spend month 1, all points including bonuses have posted. Efficient.

Stupid question but any easy way to see how many (or if) points earned for a particular transaction? Can't find anything in the app or logging into qantasmoney site (which is basically hopeless). I mean it would be nice to see if one charge doesn't earn (or does) and find other means depending on the result...

am I missing something obvious? :D

Certainly not information they supply on the statement, just the total earned for that month.

None of my QFF linked credit cards from any financial institution have ever shown me that.

Yeah true I guess (though Amex do have this info) but it seems this QF Premier card has such a large and vague list of merchants that won't earn that they could at least flag somehow that a particular transaction won't earn.

I guess I have unrealistic expectations :)
