Qantas Status Credits Bonus Offers

o_O Just be careful that you are not using a travel credit which has its own booking reference, the way a gift voucher does.
Eligibility for the extra status credit offers works based on the date the booking reference was created.
This sometimes has its advantages  but in this case, it is a reason for caution.
If you use a pre-existing booking reference, that may persist for your flight booking, in which case you will not receive the extra status credits automatically.
I do not know if you would have any success in claiming them manually. 🧐

it’s difficult and time consuming, but you can claim the Bonus Status Credits. Just make sure you keep screen shots and proof of the offer, registration, date of booking and boarding passes.

Thanks for the words of caution however, the travel credit I was referring to is an Amex credit that came with +1's credit card. Just need to decide where to go.

Anyone had one lately ?
Just curious if they are really still around even targeted

Yep - late last week.

Got a 50% offer just over a week ago that was targeted for travel to Europe. Gave 1 week to make bookings and was valid for flights until mid-May. I had been searching Europe flights but unfortunately my upcoming trip is in June...
I seem to recall previous offers stipulated that travel had to be on Qantas metal. This one did not stipulate that and actually said "any QF marketed flight with a QF flight number on your ticket where status credits are normally be earned"

I still have a bit to go before LTG I have LTS
Yes I’m on the grumble grumble as well!
I originally posted this thread at the start of August, and still haven’t had a targeted offer although I’ve used the website frequently, looked at different flights for weeks before booking them.

Again, it would be nice if someone from qff or an ex employee could shed some light on this confusing situation, as it’s frustrating when you here a silver or bronze member getting targeted and the full paying platinum suckers get nothing.... this is the issue as there is no clarity.

Agreee with GPH, im almost lifetime gold, so might be time for a change..................

My thoughts are, is that there is some sort of programme in the computer which recognises how many times that some of us have used the DSC offers to get to the level we are at, and so the "Computer says No" as speaking about myself only, that I have taken advantage of the offers to date, so no more will there be anything coming my way, and even though I travel with Qantas once a month internationally on my buck that they reckon I have had a fair crack at it, the DSC offers that is.

"I am guilty as charged Sir" in taking up the previous DSC offers and I realise that I will not be getting anymore offers, oh well.

With 1500 status credits for this year and a few more flights before my annual cut off is reached I have had a good time.

There was another thread recently about whether the Qantas crews recognise us platinum people, to which I say yes they do.

One more, I do agree that the qantas crews acknowledge and treat you a little better as plat. I have enjoyed that for a number of years as well as the priority upgrades and lounges...... agree :)
My point in my post above is why don’t they just come clean about how the dsc or bonus works. If your comment is true, why don’t they state it and we all say fair ball, instead of this frustration with a program that no one knows how their bonus system works.

Probably because its a bonus, and the rules and methodology is a bit of a moving target.
