Qantas Status Credits Bonus Offers

Ditto, I've been 'hinting' as well...got nadda ☹
Yes I’ve been waiting for dsc or any offer..... been searching through fares for months but no offer. Frustrated!!! So I have had to book two fares, one to lax and one to lhr. I Originally posted the original comment so thanks to all for the follow up convo. For those not receiving any offers, I’m feeling the pain, for those in luck good on you. Living in hope as I have 2 more trips to book in status credit year. Obviously as originally stated it looks like it’s targeted from now on.....

I haven't seen or come across any bonus offers regarding status credits in a while. I had a targeted one in June, but only for MEL LAX for a very limited time for which I could not use. There has been lots of conjecture on whether Qantas will go with the DSC rewards offers that they have offered over the last few years to all or whether they now just target individuals moving forward? It would be nice if a QFF employee was part of the forum.....sure there is plenty we'd like to know!!!!!! :) Any thoughts or knowledge from the punters?
Thanks all :)

I've been hanging off booking a swathe of flights for later this year and early next year, expecting that there'd be a double SC around October, but I'm starting to lose hope, and some of the bigger flights are in November so I'm thinking I might just need to bite the bullet and move forward.

I'll try to look at it positively as an opportunity to try out some other airlines with a better more modern product. I'm London-based and return to Australia about three times a year for business / personal. Any favourites for this leg that you wouldn't normally consider at the moment I'm thinking Qatar / Singapore airlines for my next loyalty partner...

Cathay are quite good.

You have to think of what you are tying to achieve with SCs. If you are flying J, then you are already getting some perks, and if F, then even more. It remains for the Y class to get these perks by just flying lots and using SCs to get there. You may be wanting to store SCs as a future proof to achieve LTG or even LTP (or equivalent), all very laudatory, which is what I think I did, in a small way. QP now for several years and LTG, but it has meant lots of flying, which i love, and all in Y.

Status unlocks better access to QF classic reward seats and priority in the upgrade queue. Along with lounge access (useful for Y flying which I nearly always do domestically and for international trips not flying J/F), those are the main benefits of LTG that I want, but I need bonus status credit offers to get there. If those offers stop then it’ll make sense to try some of QANTAS’s competitors for some of my international travel.

Received an offer today for 50% bonus SC's on all QF bookings made within the next 7 days and flown by 11th Feb 2020. Ticked over to zero status credits at end of my membership year on 30th Sep so nice way to kick start the chase again.

Okie, an update : I've got 50% SC offer early this morning :D I diligently searched for flights from AUS to NZ over the last two weeks and the promo landed in my inbox today :)

QF Platinum - here I come :D

Thx Ade and Meggsy for the feedback.....well done!!!! Not sure what to do here. Searched diligently for my business flights over a period of time for LAX and LHR with no offer......so I had to book. Been searching for April/May next year for Europe and US trips again but no offer....also have a heap of domestic lined up.........maybe the trick is to search hard and go cold on the website for a while? .........anyway the system seems to make no sense currently ????????
:)

Out of interest, are the bonus SC offers that are coming through stipulating on QF metal only? I havent received an offer but i do have a couple of trips coming up including one to europe that I'd prefer to do on Emirates (would book through QF with QF flight number but Emirates aircraft...).
Wondering whether to hold out for an offer or whether it wont be applicable anyway?

Yes.

Thanks - thats yes only applicable on QF Metal I take it?
That is what I meant but it seems I was wrong.
From the text of my offer email:

An eligible flight for the purpose of this promotion means any Qantas marketed flight with a QF flight number on your ticket where Status Credits are normally earned. 50% more Status Credits will not be earned on some fare types and booking classes including Classic Flight Rewards. See Airline Earning Tables for details.

Over the last couple of weeks I have done literally hundreds of searches for a holidays in Australia and Asia, with Qantas,no offers forthcoming.
No problems, yesterday I booked 6 business class flights with Qantas and 4 business class tickets with a different carrier, the latter in Asia.
I am another QFF who has unlocked the shackles that have kept me chained to qantas.

Hi

I have booked a flight to AKL yesterday, and this morning received a SC promotion for flights to AKL for bookings made today for the next 7 days.
Has anyone been successful if getting the SC bonus for a flight made prior to the SC promotion?
Currently I am not having any joy....

Technically no, unless, you've purchased a Flex fare then you can cancel the booking you made yesterday and make a new booking. Don't forget to register to the SC promo before making a booking.

You may also call Qantas, explain your situation and see if they're able to cancel the tickets and give you a credit voucher, which you may use for your new booking.
