How hard and fast are these expiry dates? I have a friend flying on the 29th... I'm guessing a pass that expires on the 28th wouldn't be assignable?

Correct unless it is on JetStar.

At the bottom of the lounge invitations screen is a link to link an invitation to your Jetstar booking. The system only validates that the invitation is valid at the time you link it.

SYD Intl J lounge - It’s gonna be my first time in a lounge and really excited!! Got lounge invitations through CC - QF bronze member so this is the only option. Flying to HND with a 5:30 hr evening layover in SYD.

1. Wondering how far in advance can I get into lounge?
2. Been reading this lounge is a bit outdated. Any tips in maximising my stay for anyone who’s been there recently.

Just keep your expectations low - it's a room with chairs, buffet food, self-serve drinks, and showers.
