I have two one "General" (see definition below) lounge pass expiring 03/08/2023. Standard drills - PM me with Surname and FF Number and I'll send them it over.

  • General – can be used at any Qantas Club domestic lounge, Qantas International Lounge or Qantas operated International Business Lounge (excluding Los Angeles Tom Bradley Terminal) when departing on a Qantas or Jetstar flight number.
Edited to reflect one pass remaining.

Edited again - both now gone.

I have two General access invitations, expiring 2 July (meaning you have to link them to a booking before then). Message me with your details and I'll send them through. First in gets them.
PM sent for one pass.

Edit: does it have to be linked only before 2nd of July but can be used a week later, or has to be used by 2nd July at the lounge?

They are yours. You have to link them your booking before 2 July, even if the travel is after that. Once they've connected to your booking you get confirmation of the lounge entry. Print it out and have a copy handy in case of any questions when you go to the lounge.

Ok thank you. I will link as per your instructions.

Can you use Qantas lounge passes past the expiry date so long as they're linked? I thought that only worked for Jetstar flights?

Under "Manage your Complimentary Lounge Invitations" I click on "Link Invitation" for a flight on 7th July departing Sydney and also one in March 2024 departing Bangkok but for both times after clicking on it I get a message saying "You’re unable to redeem a Lounge Invitation on this occasion." Anyone know how I can get this to work? Thanks

I'm not sure. I've been able to link family members' trips to lounge invitations ok when their flights were after the expiry dates in the past. There may have been some changes to lounge access - they have made changes with guests having to be in the same flights. Others might know the answer.

Ok thanks. Hopefully others here might know about this error message I'm getting when trying to link them to my flights.

This seems to be a thing for Jetstar flights due to the way the (non) integration works.

For QF flights, the passes must be valid on the date of the flight.

I got the same when trying to link passes to flights after the expiry date. I had simply assumed (correctly I believe) that the passes still need to within date of flights. That was for a QF flight. Didn't even occur to me that Jetstar might be different.

It's a loophole they're bound to close sooner or later... or you also may encounter an overzealous lounge dragon ;)

Yes my son was able to use an expired lounge pass for a Jetstar flight. He just had to link the pass before the expiry date.
The actual flight was after the pass expiry date.

Quick question, my credit card has given me 2 complimentary lounge passes.
I want to know if I can use these 2 passes for lounge access for Mrs Mizzum as a guest? I have just hunted down some kind of T & C and found this:

"Can I bring a guest or my children when using a Complimentary Lounge Invitation at a lounge?

A Complimentary Lounge Invitation provides a single entry access to a lounge and doesn't include access for an additional guest(s) or children.

When you redeem a Complimentary Lounge Invitation online, you may be able to purchase a Lounge Access Invitation for your guest(s) or children if they are included in the same booking as your booked flight."

I guess I can link both invitations to my flight and risk the lounge attendant not allowing in a guest, but might be better if I transfer 1 pass to her own QFF account. And she then has her own pass to enter the lounge.
What's the general opinion on which tack to follow? Methinks the latter.

I think I've answered my own question after attempting to link 1 pass to the flight booking. It has given me the option of assigning each pass to a passenger name. And both mine & Mrs appear in the list so looks like no need to transfer the other pass to her account.

as per this paragraph in the link screen
"Your fellow passengers can enjoy lounge access with you. From the dropdown menu that appears alongside the traveller’s name, choose the complimentary invitation you would like to assign to them. If available for your trip, you may have the chance to pay or use qantas points towards a lounge access pass, saving your complimentary lounge invitation for future trips."
