Chilled soup was very nice. Good choice for Singapore I reckon.

Tuna sashimi - good.

Squid - average. Not the best I've had, but certainly not the worst.

Ox-tail ragout and pasta - simple but tasty.
Lounge pretty quiet (and has been recently apparently, at least prior to QF2 ).

Hainanese Chicken Rice. Pretty good.
I am very disappointed that there's no Lunar New Year decorations and red pocket for distribution.

Started with a hotel towel. Followed by olives.
Starters was Burrata and roasted red peppers
Mains was the three cup tofu, Gai lan and cashews with rice and a generous serving of fresh chilli
Dessert was pandan sponge cake
Later in the evening had chips as snacks followed by tiramisu.
That was Lunar New Year. I thought Qantas, being an Asian carrier and have such presense in Asia should be celebrating with us.Is there usually?
I had this dish earlier in the year in January and thought it was pretty underwhelming.
Did you sit on that menu card or was it handed out like that?Lunch time arrival to SIN - right off 6E from MAA

It was handed out like that ...Did you sit on that menu card or was it handed out like that?
I had to google to find the meaning of the word "tatty" (lol). But yea, the menu card was tatty ...Tatty menu card
Aren’t those red pockets from businesses just added waste? It’s not like they have cash or anything valuable in them do they?Qantas is an Australian carrier not an Asian carrier. But I do agree that since it flies to so many Asian destinations that it would be smart to do something for the Lunar New Year and make passengers feel good
It has some value in the second hand market:Aren’t those red pockets from businesses just added waste? It’s not like they have cash or anything valuable in them do they?
I don't mind the laksa so much but I do wish they'd use the correct noodles! The Hainanese chicken rice and the laksa have always been disappointing. I don't even bother with the laksa anymore. Thought I'd give the chicken rice another go yesterday but, same disappointment...
I agree about the noodles! The crayfish is too rubbery (and clearly frozen) and lacks flavour.I don't mind the laksa so much but I do wish they'd use the correct noodles!
