The only change for BA is on the Kangaroo route. Both will still be both OneWorld members, so earn will clearly stay as it does on other OneWorld carriers.

Not quite, the change affects services with BA from LHR to BKK, SIN and HKG, as well as baggage changes and lounge access for QP members (after all the "kangaroo route" is what the JSa was put in place for. These have always been a standout difference to what is normally on offer as part of the One World benefits. It also means BA are no longer bound by pricing with QF.

Can't hear the TV, as this is a lounge, but from what I'm reading here, sounds good. Would hope that Emirates Gold members don't get F access, as they only have a two-tier (earnable) program.

I'm sure it'll all be good though. Makes no sense to overcrowd lounges.

Wow. From April next year, the daily QF A380s to London via Singapore will route via DXB.

What's the point in that lounge refurbishment then?

FF earn on BA for a start.

That'd be a OneWorld thing wouldn't it?

Tim Clark stated that EK still have no intention to join OW/*A/ST.

So im guessing my FASA from SIN-LHR in Aug 13 will be SIN-DXB-LHR?

Sent from my GT-I9100 using AustFreqFly

Somewhere in Dubai, the Al-Maktoum's are unveiling a 50 foot statue of the Crown Prince flipping the bird in the general direction of Abu Dhabi, with an associated neon sign claiming "Hey Al-Nahyan, who the hell are Virgin??"

They did point out that they would be focussing on Asia flights so the lounge re-fits are totally appropriate.

Qantas still travels to Singapore!

Ahh, just not as an onward service to Europe, gotcha!

Although it sounds like there'll be no F services.

With EK still selling a lot of F, perhaps QF will rethink removing it from their remaining A380's now, though a bit late for the 747's.

Qantas coded or operated 777.

I find the operated bit a tad interesting (as in QF colours, or wetleased)

So do you mean it will be QF A380 metal from SYD-DXB then EK metal from DXB onwards to europe???

Also no more QF metal to SIN from SYD?

I can see this as making sense. It may just help them restructure their services into Asia, as EK helps stop a lot of the 2 stop cough into Europe.

I actually do think that this is a positive, just waiting to see how the Roo bring it forward!

Joyce has just said there'll be more frequencies to Asia; change of frequency on Hong Kong; more flight to Singapore.
