Qantas Complimentary Lounge Pass Discussion

things may have changed, but when I went to the Amex lounge ,it was small with zero windows, but it was empty everytime i went so it wasnt a problem, that place full would be pretty bad,

the buffet/drinks were were fine but the cooked food, made to order was horrible, I ordered a asian style rice noodle soup and it was like it was made by a person who had never had it before, by far the worst noodles ive ever had (and im not a fussy person)

when I was at the qantas Melb lounge it was far nicer....although some people say its dark and few windows, when I was there i didnt think so unless i was in a different lounge, might have a look through my photos)

I was talking about the SYD lounges.

I haven’t been to either MEL lounge since Covid but I didn’t like either of them as of about 2018.

I finally used the melb qantas busienss lounge last week. They couldnt find my linking, and when I showed my email they said it was the domestic lounge. But they just let me in, (unsure if I had the wrong lounge pass ie a cheaper one, or just me making a mistake)

Upon entering i realised I've been here 2 or 3 times in the past in 5 yrs, unsure how or when

Does the job fine for me, but if I paid full price I wouldn't be happy.
Food was like a sandwich bar, and the main meal was one meat/1 veg curry which were way too salty

For the price I paid, in the future i might just skip the lounge

I have 2 lounge passes to gift to my nephew and his GF. The flight is PER-LHR. Often when checking in at PER the international part of the terminal is not open and check in staff invite pax to use the Domestic J lounge until there is an announcement over the PA in the lounge to go through to customs/immigration. My query is if I gift the passes, will my rellies be able to go into the Domestic J lounge first and then to the International lounge. Or are they better off just waiting to go into the International lounge bypassing the domestic J lounge.
