I don't even bother with QF competitions ; too many entrants for too few prizes makes it, imo, not worth the effort of participating

I enter them mostly because they are free and it generally takes little time to do the registration, and hey, who knows, one day I might strike lucky, but I don't really expect to. Given the small number of prizes and large number of entrants, it is no great surprise that there is no-one around these parts saying they won/

I bought a Qantas Frequent Flyer Cabin Bag from the website last year and won a Bose Home Entertainment System. It does happen!:D

There is a light at the end of the competition tunnel - I think it is an oncoming train...

It would seem nobody wins
My Irish trip was courtesy of a St Patrick's deposit of a Business card in box at Syd QP while tasting some of the product.

People do collect on these promotions; consider how many active QFFers there are and how many post here.

Methinks your sample is correspondingly very small in proportion ...

Yes, my mother won a QF competition a couple of years ago...can't recall what it was...ah, having re-read page 2, now I can  :

Won a $100 Caltex Starcash cc type voucher about 2 years ago
I won a BA Executive Club competition for new Australian members back in Feb 1989 - two J return flights to LHR and 5 nights in the Park Lane hotel. Asked my mother, she said no....worst decision of her life.

Still have the letter announcing my win. My staff still remember my anguished scream and my blood-drained face of shock.

Not yet, flights are booked in for August to September, flying BNE to SYD first, then SYD-LHR via SIN. Way back is LHR-SIN, then SIN-BNE.

Will keep you posted.

I still enter every competition and surprises of surprises...

I have still won nothing - funny that... nothing... zip, the absence of anything at all, nill, nix, çikërrimë, niets, rein, niente, 虚, нереальность, 没甚么, ไม่มีอะไร

I hope QANTAS gets my point!

Mr!

I have won exactly the same amount from Qantas.

I won an A380 model earlier this year as a runner-up prize.:mrgreen::D:rolleyes:

I haven't won anything in competitions from Qantas.

Unless people regard upgrades (points or operational) as a sort of "competition".

Apart from that, I was gifted a Qantas pen  and a bottle of white wine (from an on-board experience).

Yep and I wrote a killer limerick for one competition and nothing either. :(

I don't do the lotto thing because that is just voluntary tax, but I find it hard to resist a free competition even though I have never won anything.

But last week I had a moral dilemma with the competition to win a trip to Hong Kong to see the Wallabies and AB's. The prize was fine but the entry details weren't, as I had to say how I was going to inspire the Wallabies to win. At first I thought I couldn't in all conscience lie through my teeth just to win a free trip to Honkers. But then I found I could!

Anyway - if Qantas have any clue the winner will be hand-selected so nobodies like me have no chance.

Got the free movie tix a while back.

Just remember, QF FF has 5-6m members, maybe more with the whole Woolies deal, and Im sure those promos go far and wide on the email lists now.

Picked up the 5,000 pts oneworld bonuse recently.

I don't know how you live with yourself ;) You're clearly not going to help the wallabies at all, for a start the game in is Tokyo not honkers  :D

I've been lucky with Qantas compeitions, as i have actually won a prize worth winning. I bought something through the Qantas store and i ended up winning 100000 frequent flyer points.
