Qantas ends lifelong club memberships | NEWS.com.au
The airline yesterday confirmed it had stopped selling life and senior life memberships to its Qantas Club, which provides lounges and other facilities at 250 airports in Australia and cities around the world.
The deal - a one-off payment of $2150 for a senior life membership available to travellers over the age of 60 - has been dropped under a restructuring of Qantas Club fees.
In future, seniors will pay the standard fee of $405 a year, $730 for two years or $1370 for a four-year membership, plus the joining fee of $370.
Sales of ordinary life memberships, which cost $4200, were also stopped.
Existing holders of Qantas Club life memberships and senior life memberships would remain, with members continuing to have access to the benefits they had on joining.
