Is this benefit in domestic terminals for platinum only or does it also extend to gold. Does it make any difference if you are on a Jetstar flight?

Thanks

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

WP only. Just show the card. Technically only supposed to be after JQ or QF but I've never had an issue after VA or Rex either - they never check the flight.

What is the point of going into lounge post travel?. Drinks before going home?. I would have thought getting home ASAP is the imperative?

Waiting at the destination for a colleague to arrive from another city. Pick up a coffee and - especially after the early morning rush - "lounge" whilst working.

Drinks before going home ... I've never missed home so little that a free drink would delay me any longer at MEL!!

JQ is a good option for me BNE-DRW on a Friday after work. Departs 20:05 or later. Plenty of time to get the air train from the cbd and enjoy a snack plus a couple of drinks. If it wasn't for the excellent crew on a few trips I'd have to agree. The legroom is unbearable. I fly QF on the return leg.

I used it mostly for connections to VA/Rex. Also when there was a decent gap before public transport to the next destination. It's pretty handy.

Public transport ... do people still do that ?? ;)

Unfortunately mate.

My place on south coast NSW is still best accessed that way.

But trains from Syd and buses from Cbr are few and far between so the lounge is a handy waiting zone!

I often get a lift with someone and given he is paying for the cheap late flights! I often just have a couple of drinks at the other end while I wait

OP if you do need lounge access on arrival don't forget to check out the community connections/meetings and social events page. Most AFF are more than happy to guest.

Shower after international flight.

Wait for hotel check-in time to come around.

Hi everyone, how one simple question can generate such interest - the simple answer is a three hour wait for my mum. So if anone just happens to be Sydney T3 and can guest me in after 10.30 today, PM please!!!!! as I dropped to Gold 6 days ago :(

My occasional work trip is SYD-MEL, usually a 6am flight. I time my arrival in Sydney to have 5 min in lounge before boarding. On arrival in MEL, pop by the lounge, use toilet, have s cuppa and and maybe something to eat, out within 15min.

Shower after int flight is also good, if heading straight to work.

I've been asked for a BP in both BNE and PER, and also had QF card scanned on entry, so it's not true that they never check the flight.

That said, most of the time they've only required me to flash my QF card.

mrpooky.
